    To be fair, we are never guaranteed snow. Just seeing some falling is a bonus!

    Met office have my part of brum down for light snow at 9 and heavy snow from 3!!

    I think that wet snow/sleet is more likely. In brum at least.

    I think that dec 2009 and 2010 were unusual for their notable cold and have spoiled us cold lovers This December is as Decembers usually are - wet, grey and windy. January and February are the months for proper cold in the UK. So let's not write winter off just yet.

    Pretty covering in south brum and snow still falling. Think met office had it spot on for this one.

    It's settling on cars and my garden table - seems to be quite wet snow at the moment in brum.

    The temps are due to drop this afternoon. So far things are proceeding as forecast.

    In brum the light snow has turned into icy rain - tbh I'm glad. We've had a great run this week I'd rather the horrid grey slush and ice get washed away tonight! This winter (IMHO) has already been a classic, and we've still got February to come

    Realistically in brum I think we'll see a mild breakdown - and I hope it's that way. We've had a great snow week - maybe not dramatic cold temps but falling snow every day and impressive snow depths. Lets wash all the ice away and wait for the cold reload in February!!

    Basically saying that ECMWF has light snow reaching the M4 corridor by 9, that it's a forecasting nightmare and that he's had enough and is off to bed!!!
