  1. It's snowing in wales, just had a look on their thread
  2. Radar on. Netweather fired up. #uksnow tag on twitter being monitored. Let snowmageddon commence <<opens champagne>>
  3. Snow to rain? Don't think so. This is the most favourable set up the midlands has had for a long time. Nothing marginal about this at all.
  4. Any thoughts re the front stalling and the formation of a secondary low? Shades of feb 10 (or was it 09?) at all (lthough that was an overland low wasn't it that poppd up) in addition to saturdays snowfest
  5. I have a grocery shop coming tomorrow. I've ordered 3 bottles of snow wine and 2 boxes of snow beer. Have I jinxed snowmageddon?
  6. I am now used to the feat and famine of expected snow vs the reality. However, I can't bloody keep away from this forum!!!
  7. I think we are in with a chance tonight. If only it was as heavy as the precip we had on tuesday this week, THAT, would be worth a night of lampost watching!!
  8. Beautiful morning in south birmingham, someone on my twitter feed has reported light snow in bourneville. I think that with regards to snow as a wise person on here once said 'once the cold comes in it's all to play for' We've got a cold few days on the cards, so who knows.
  9. One day a snow event will come off for us. I don't know when that day will be though lol
  10. Rain here is south brum, but as Gord said earlier it's the kind of rain that looks like it's going to turn!
  11. I don't think it's heading as northerly as progged, but I am probably wrong!!
  12. LOL!! Keep nipping outside to look at the sky, even though I *know* nothing is due until the wee hours!! Still, this is the way of the weather nut
  13. I think we are nowcasting tonight tbh. Been here soooooo many times Am sure we (in brum) will wake up to a grey, wet morning tomorrow!! Sorry!
  14. Ditto. Am in south brum and think it's quite possible that (a) the track is too southerly and (B) the mild uppers will make any precip fall as rain.
  15. This will be me on my way to the forum on christmas day
  16. Bit nippy in my backyard at 2.6 degrees!!! (is that on topic?!!)
  17. The Met Office have got us down for snow on thursday night. I am willing to fully believe that forecast and ignore any other data
  18. It looks likely to be rather nippy from tuesday onwards but I doubt that the uppers will be cold enough for snow sadly. As for today - it is very, very windy in my backyard this morning...I am so glad that I don't need to go anywhere today!
  19. I reckon 8 or 9 this week Gord!!! But after that - I want to see some more -6/7's again and some nice frosts! We really can't complain though, since November we've had some fabulous weather - proper cold, beautiful hoar frosts (I've never seen the met office issue warnings about hoar frosts before!!), epic snow, icicles, giant snow flakes and fog. Anything else over the next few weeks is a bonus. The only thing on my wish list is thunder snow
  20. It seems like we have a week or so of milder weather on the cards. Today was a good last hurrah - my eyes are on the end of jan for some more 'epic cold'.
