hi guys and girls,i am correct in saying that 5 days ago the models showed cold to be here now? and now it still shows the real cold to be here in 5 days. what im trying to say is why does the weather always seem to be 120 or 240 hrs away? and if so is there any point in taking any notice at all until it gets to say 72 or even 48 hrs away. i myself dont have a clue but from what i have read this seems to be the case quite a lot. also when the wind and rain are due in they can say on a monday that friday we will have very heavy rain and gales but when it comes to cold or even sun they dont seem to have the same confidence.

no frost here this morn either but its cold outside in my shorts ha ha,a lot better weather than we been having for sure dry and cold.and no rain and wind yippy. just went into the mad model thread for a laugh,i had a good read and some say gfs has come in line with ecm and others saying compleat opposite how? and this cold weather is 120 hrs away then its 240. by the way its going,we be having the bitter cold in june lol. im happy with dry and cold right now anything better than rain every day.

i can only remember 2 frosts this winter but anything other than this rain and wind would be great, it has been a strange winter to my mind, hardly any cold at all,i cant remember going all winter like it has been so far,so would imagine cold will come at some stage,and there is plenty of time yet. only good thing this winter has been low gas bills ha ha.looks like models have changed again.

my god some people in the models thread are mad,i dont understand the models but just go in there for a laugh and to be honest i get confused by it in there,some say loads of snow or cold and others saying the opposite,how can u say that if they are looking at the same thing? and dont they get quite serious in there ha ha. well my take on it from in there is this,mild and snow next week at mid day in kent and no snow down past m4 with loads in blackpool by 6 oclock on a week friday. some are guessing how far inland the snow will go and thats 10 days away lol. even when it starts snowing no one can say for deffs where and how much can they?right im going back in wish me luck.

strange that all tv weather reporters are now going for much colder weather from sat and yet in models thread this morn all seems to have gone to pot. im glad i cant read these models or i would be worse than the guys on there lol. some sound quite depressed ha ha.from what i can gather last nights runs look fantastic and this mornings look pants

well it looks like the farmer i was talking to on weekend may be correct, just been reading model thread and a few in there seem quite excited about whats around the corner,the farmer told me that from next weekend its going to change,dont know where he gets his info from but he said its norm correct ish lol.lets just sit back and wait and see what happens. i want some dry cold now as this rain and wind have just about done my head in.

was talking to the farmer who works the mountain behind me this afternoon and he said that the bulls etc had been up the mountain for far longer this winter than for many yrs,but he did say that been adivsed that winter will start around next weekend. i hope he is correct and that we get some nice dry cold weather without the wind. be interested in the model thread over the next few days to see what they make of what is going to happening.

just saw Derick the Dart doing the weather and he said looks like all change from 14th jan. so thats the date then guys and gals lol. he said going much colder.

i cant remember winds like these for days on end,it was another awful night here,and to be honest it is worrying when u can here the wind roaring into the attic space above my bed lol,my son sometimes sleeps up there,but there is no way he could be up there with winds like this, the mountain behind me norm has 2 runs of water coming down from the top but the other day after the last storm there was 11 runs,the guy opposite me lived here for 53 yrs and never seen that many runs before,and i would imagine the same amount this morn. fingers crossed these very bad winds will calm down today (please)

right then when is this wind going to move away from my house,it is blowing a gale and in fact i would say it nearly as bad as the other night. dont have anything to read the gusts but they are bad and thats all i can say lol,its howling all around the house and i dont like it ha ha,please weather change to dry cold and settled until april then sun and nice calm warm temps.this weather ov late is just plain rubbish and iv had a guts full ov it lol moan over unless this wind dont stop then i be back. and as for heavy snow next week i would much rather that than this crap we getting,but not seen or heard ov any snow due for us.

hi guys havnt slept hardly anything through the night,i didnt expect the winds to be this strong,in fact iv been out a few times looking around the house,when is this going to drop? nice up this mountain but not nice when this wind is about.

came home last night from netball and it was raining all the way home until i got about 100 yards from my house turned to slet then but roads were very very wet, sleet then turned to snow and came down quit heavy but to be honest wasnt what i expected. cant have snowed for long around here, cars are covered and roads are white but not a lot and i think be all gone in a hr or so.

Daybreak weather just showed rain turning to snow tonight into tomor morn but it did look like it was not coming right down,mid Wales looking i would say from the map shown the snow may go as far down as the valleys but may not even get that far by the map they showed,so looking like the far south is going to miss out. im may be wrong mind as i got bad eyes lol. good thing tho it looks like we will miss the real bad winds.

by the look ov the map,it will miss most of southern wales,again below the m4. for some reason the m4 becomes a snow stopper quite a lot ov the time. i also think it will be a high ground event or more northern.Bridgend norm miss out in this sort ov snow and valleys seem to do ok.

had a slight dusting here through the night some on top ov car but nothing to shout home about,news just showed snow showers for wales today and very heavy rain tomor with snow for hill tops not as windy as first thought (thank god) and then colder for weekend.

same up here Andy very thick snow being blown about,just stopped in fact but was quite impressive lol,the mountains behind me are now white not covered but gone white. if that snow dried out a bit i think it would stick down by me.

hail and snow mixed in here now as i type, more so when the showers are heavy. stopped now.

just to let you all know,went on kids run and was hail at first up here then turned to snow,sticking on tops of mountain,turned to rain as i went further down valley.so asl is deff going to come into account on this,was rain in ogmore vale and snow at top ov nantymoel. so that was the first sight of snow this winter not a lot but at least a start lol

just watch weather forecast on tv and looks like its going to be quit windy all day,but dont look like many arears will see snow,around brecon it shows snow and said high ground,i myself think same as yest cant see anything around m4 line getting snow,may get sleety rain or hail in showers,it probs be tops ov mountains behind me, i am more worried about the wind to be honest,last night it woke me quit a few times and gmtv are looking a little worried about what could happen thurs into fri.my location is great for snow but also great for wind and i hate the wind lol.

to be honest guys i myself dont think we will see a great deal of snow quite yet but mountain tops may have a covering,but i am worried about the wind that may hit us tonight and then even worse on thurs night and friday. there was talk of winds up as high as 100 mph or even higher. that is a crazy event isnt it,fingers crossed it misses the uk all togther or we just get the tail end.

well the wind is really starting to pick up here, i hate the wind to be honest as we are very high up and get caught by it when it is bad. looks like we are going to get a bit colder by the weekend listening to the radio this morn.dont think it be cold enough for Andy music weather but still going in the right direction. i was hoping we have a nice cold winter as we moved 4 months ago and are now in prime postion for snow lol, we are half way up mountain at 268m asl. just my luck that we have a mild one ha ha. Andy i should imagine that i also be having snow now just like u did last year, remem i drove up there as others were saying it cant be that bad and ooooo yes it was lol. i struggled in my 4x4 to get there ha ha.

i cant get over how windy it was last night,it has blown everything about the garden. and - 14 last yr to +11 this year wow wat a diff. my mate works for the council on the gritters and last year he was well busy by now and by the looks ov it he be very quite up and past the new year. at least he can have time with family over xmas ha ha. how is euro area looking on weather front? is everywhere mild or just us again?

lot colder this morn guys, i wonder if this is the start ov winter? only 1 more week left in nov and then we should be into 12 weeks ov colder weather. seems strange after last years cold that i am even writting about this slight drop in temp ha ha. noticed yest that either itv or bbc said going to get colder,didnt say how cold but colder. i want nice fresh frosty morns for a week or so just to make it feel like winter is on its way. come on frosty lets be aving u ha ha.

hi all i also cant get over its been a year since we were all talking about the snow cold etc, i have now moved only 2.2 miles but i am now at a very high m asl so hoping we get a bit ov snow just to ring my mates and say how is it down in the low lands haha. any idea wat the experts thing is going to happen this winter,i know it cannot be done deal but any news from the top guys?

well to be honest i have found it cold in the wind today guys but i do think its time for the sun to come out and give us a nice long dry hot summer. i did enjoy the cold before during and after xmas but enough is enough and i dont want any more,i also dont think that much snow etc will fall again until maybe next nov dec or jan, but you never know lol the days are getting much longer now and the birds etc and trees are showing signs of spring. i took my son to rugby tonight and 2 of the kids parents said that there was heavy snow for next week where did they get this info from?
