    just checked we have really grainy stuff falling.. but it's settling better than the big flakes

    I'm off to do a snow dance on the back garden..we still actually have flakes falling.. but they are not settling at all now. Off to have a check..

    still got a slight snow shower up here, not settling though have about 2 to 3 cm. Is there another band due around 12?

    thats strange, we must be lucky up here or just on the edge.. it's not settling as well as I would have liked.. not well enough to put off the inlaws anyway

    we are quite high and have some nice big flakes at Lodge moor Sheffield.. just hope it lasts..

    had a few on and off snow flurries since 6, still nice big flakes. Has left a light dusting across the gardens

    We have quite an impressive flurry up here in sheffield, (Lodgemoor 1000 asl ) got up at six A.M and they are nice big flakes. Kids are well impressed and rather giddy.

    We had rain/sleet here from about 3:20 p.m just as I type it's turning to big wet flakes of snow, it's also quite foggy

    Bloody hell, just looked out of the window..there's tonnes of the stuff falling up here. How long do you think it will keep up for?

    Hmm, we have just had quite a sharp increase in the amount falling up here, it's starting to stick to the roof tiles again

    We are quite high up here, so allways cop a bit more than the rest of Sheff. Hope you get a bit too

    It started with small flakes here about 45 mins ago, now we have big flakes and it's starting to settle. Wonder if we will cop for another 10 cm? I have a horrid vision of going into labour and not being able to get to the hospital because of the snow

    We are just on the bit where Lodgemoor meets Fulwood and can confirm there is still a heck of a lot of snow left up here! So we are due for another dumping then? Well having still not gone into labour, it seems the weather gods are wanting me to be snowed in !! Anyone have any thoughts on the severity of this event for us up here?

    I have just ventured out to the Local shops, I estimate looking at the fresh stuff we have had about 2 inch since 6:30 A.M It's not showing any signs of letting up either. The roads round here were in a bad way before, now they are really bad, I think we will be cut off from the rest of Sheffield for a while if it continues to snow like this

    It started here at about 6:30 this morning, since then we have had at least a couple of cm. It just started to get a lot thicker as it falls as well

    What are the chances of amounts like that working over here, taking into consideration I am one of the highest points in Sheffield? I'm just getting worried about getting totally cut off, we still have around 4/5 inch frozen on the ground. I love snow but am slightly worried about getting medical help, should I need it

    Thanks, Let's just hope Bubba hangs on in there and lets me enjoy the best snow event I have seen for 13 years then

    I am complete novice when it comes to the charts, so can anyone give me a rough idea of how bad this event could be for me where I am? Normally I would not worry, but I am due to give birth any time and am getting worried that I may get snowed in the house!! Is there the potential for this to deliver another foot for us? before I deliver two feet a body and a head? Mind you, I did say I fancied a homebirth

    We have a healthy amount of snow falling up here at Lodgemoor Sheffield, only just got up so not sure how long it's been going. Theres a covering of just under a cm laying over the few inches left from the last lot.

    We have just as much laying as we did yesterday! there has been a slight melt in todays sunshine, but it's not really impacted on the stuff thats on the ground. I do hope for a little more over the next few days we are quite high up here so we cop for it a bit worse than the rest of Sheffield

    There was a slight flurry up here at about 8.a.m,although it seems to have stopped for now. The sky does have that rather tempting 'Im full of snow clouds' look to it

    Right here are a couple of shots of just outside the back door, I am afraid I am no David Bailey! Hopefully the snow wont melt before the morning and I'll be able to get some better shots of the depth of the entire garden. Its drifted so much I think I'll have to dig out the hens in the morning.The snows still falling up here, although the chunks are a little smaller now
