Thanks for the link , the problem i have is the rear of my home is entirely south facing. The only north facing part of the house faces the road. I don't want to risk it going walkies. Trying to find a fairly sheltered spot with out too many obstructions is proving difficult.
Sharp frost and ice over still water up here..recorded a low of -0.5 last night. Not sure how accurate the reading is, still trying to find best spot for weather station.
I put the spotlight on to have a better look..very pretty, but deadly. Even the plants are covered in ice.. The grains mixed in the fog are catching the light
Wow..sheet ice on every surface here,nearly slipped off back step having morning cig . Not sure about temp. Can't have my weather station till xmas . If anyone could pm me advice about where i should position it,that would be gratefully received.
Had sleet/ wet snow up here..too wet for anything to settle..luckily the slushy mess isn't frozen.. Some strong gusts of wind, everyone bin contents are blowing around on the road.
The sky here is amazing..south to me sunshine blue sky's the north looks amazing big massive cell just hung there giving long deep rumble every so often.. Not sure but i should think the main of it is heading barnsley way
My Hubby has to drive from Sheffield to Leeds tomorrow, what time would be advisable to leave to avoid any adverse weather / driving conditions. He works for the NHS so putting off the journey is a nono
