  1. Damned chav Yarmouth seagulls, probably nicked the shovel to sell at a car boot sale.
  2. Managed to break down in the car at Herringfleet, absolutely freezing, took nearly two hours for breakdown to be obtained and rescued, luckily a farmer took pity on us and took us to the farm to give us some coffee, and it started to snow although it had been sleeting/raining heavily so it didnt stick.now overcast here but dry.
  3. The frost was so thick here we had to scrape it off the car windscreen at 10.30 am we went to Norwich it wasn't too cold although turning colder the nearer it got to nightfall, not raining, quite bright with some sunshine which was warm through the windows. At Trowse it looked like a dusting of snow onthe ground in the fields. When we parked the car in st stephens car park at around 12:30, we actually parked on a layer of very sippery sheet ice, but when we got back to the car at about 2:30 it had turned to slush. Reports of laying snow in Cambridge this morning from relatives.
  4. Haveto say i was surprised by how cold it was In gorleston, really bitter in the direct wind.
  5. Currently by coast ground is soaked but it has stopped raining, sky is overcast, in myopinion temperature is much too warm for anything other than rain at the moment.having said that i am going on bus to Gorleston mid-morning, bet i freeze.
  6. Barbeque on gunton cliff, 8pm tonight, all invited. sky reporting birmingham airport closed due to heavy snow.
  7. THANK YOU, roving reporter on Gunton Cliff!!! Southernman says quite heavy snow in Reedham now.
  8. Southernman reports flurries of snow in reedham, i've had the curtains drawn here all night, but now i look out it looks like a tiny dusting on roof opposite or maybe its just frost, need John London to report on situation from gunton cliff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Can confirm it is bright here not too chilly although not warm either, very little breeze drove into Beccles this morning and was surprised to see snow on the houses and in the fields there. Boyfriend said it must be from the last snow we had last week, but as that would have melted by now it must have been new snow overnight last night.
  10. was snowing moderately here for about ten minutes, fifteen minutes ago, now stopped
  11. hey, john london, beat me to it, i was just going to post that.
  12. Woke in the middle of the night to thunder, just one really loud clap of thunder, woke Southernman up too, then loud hail on the window for about ten minutes, did not look out of the window at that point, just went back to sleep. When i got up this morning we have a dusting of snow enough that everything including the road is white. p.s is that thundersnow?
  13. seems warmer outside just now than it has been for a while.
  14. Southern man just came in from working outside at Reedham all night and is frozen, says it was one of the coldest nights he had out there, even colder than when it snowed, because there is a very raw wind. Now he can't stop sneezing.
  15. st started snowing here large flakes and getting heavier, very raw feeling in the wind, snow coming down horizontally.
  16. No wind here so has been relatively warm all day but foggy since about lunchtime.
  17. drizzling rain here at the moment, cant see it snowing tonight
  18. its clear here and has not been raining. bbc news weather shows snow later in the night tonight cutting just across our corner of the region but Southernman and I are dubious about it, conditions don't seem right, nor does it appear likely that there will be a turnaround in conditions between now and later tonight.Especially as you in the West of the region are reporting rain.
  19. Just spoke to my mother in cambridge she said it was very icy underfoot this morning and she had been with my sister in northampton yesterday and the car slid sideways on the black ice, but they weren't injured. Also there were black ice spots leading to reedham, my boyfriend was warned about them by other drivers on his way into work.
  20. Been for a trip down the a12 this afternoon and was quite surprised at the differences in snow depths at various points between Lowestoft and Yarmouth, even from different sides of the road.
  21. Looks very cold outside with a light covering of snow right now and clear.
  22. Very heavy frost here this morning, ice everywhere.icicles hanging from front of car.
