Yes not looking good, bbc weather thismorning shows no snow for us Thursday/Friday and said the mild air will win out in the west with no real snow. Looks like its going to be a bit of a dissapointing end to the cold spell for us now.
Icon still showing snow, our only hope.

Met Office update is rubbish. Rain and hill Snow. I guess that's it for any snow opportunities.

Yes for now. Same idea as other models but makes more of Thursday nights precip and same with Saturday with better angle of front and further south than other models. GFS tricking out now....
GFS has joined it, you couldn't make it up.

Would bank that ICON run. Some decent moderate snowfall Thursday night with perfect conditions for quick accumulations.
Then some heavy snow Saturday and a freezing cold windy day. Highs of 0c and below.
Cold day Sunday before milder air returns.
Is the icon on its own?

Massive win, gutted I can't go to the games - still bought a season ticket though.

Looks really heavy in Rotherham! Watching Cardiff City v Rotherham and they've had to change to a yellow ball it's that bad.
-
Got my snow fix watching Cardiff v Rotherham lol, hammering down with snow there.

Still loads of uncertainty even for Thursday night/Friday. Wouldn’t rule it out completely just yet. One thing that is certain, it’ll be different again in the morning.
Maybe we'll see snow both days, imagine both fronts stalling.

I can feel the frustration in here. These current Synoptics are rare and had the potential to deliver a memorable snow event. We would need a big turnaround now to see anything noteworthy, but still a chance of some small accumulations. That would make it 3 snow events with lying snow here this winter so far, all being just a small covering, but much better than anything we’ve had here since storm Emma back in 2018.
That met office chart shows 15-20cm for parts of SE Wales on Saturday, can't see it though.

Thoughts on Saturday? Met office accumulation chart shows around 15-20cm for SE Wales, is that a load of rubbish?

Anyone think we'll actually see any snow or is it wishful thinking.
Forgot to mention there was a tiny dusting of snow this morning, bit more of a noticeable dusting over Caerphilly mountain.

If the Met Office model doesn't show snow for Saturday then I'm not buying it. The ICON is the odd one out here.
-
Not expecting any snow now. Can't see the icon delivering lol.

You know things are bad when you're chasing a small blob of snow on a radar...

6 hours of snow here during Saturday evening too. God knows what's going to happen, the BBC won't show any graphics for the weekend.
