  1. Hi all, We've decided to go with Jurys Inn on Cork for the accommodation. Probably the cheapest we can get being in the heart of the city. It works out at €79 on Friday and €89 on Saturday per room. It works out cheap enough since we can have 2 - 3 people per room. As few of have been on via PM and have booked allready, Paul S, Nick F, Ian C and Stu_London and myself. For anyone else who hasnt made arrangements yet, you can book online at http://www.jurysinns.com/ Probably best to organise sharing arrangements between yourselves either here or PM. Booking can be done with any major credit card the card is only for guarantee purposes. So no payment will be taken from the card used to book, basically you can split the bill etc with whoever your sharing with etc, or you may not want to share, whatever. Calcellations can be made up untill 2:00 PM on check in day so if anyone needs to pull out for whatever reason or if we end up with an extra room etc we have plenty of time to cancel the room without penalty. Hope this is OK with everyone. Let me know if you have any questions. <_<
  2. Hey Stu, Your best bet is Fishguard to Rosslare with Stenna-Lina http://www.stenaline.ferries.org Or Pembroke to Rosslare with Irish Ferries http://www.irishferries.com and then drive down to Cork via Waterford. Allot of driving on the UK side. About 2.5 hours drive to Cork from Rosslare.
  3. There's more than one airport in London? Seriously though mate, looking forward to seeing ya.
  4. LOL What airport! Cork boy!
  5. Hi All, Can I get confirmation from all who are fairly certain and want me to arrange accomodation. I'll also need to know for certain who is staying on both Friday and Sat as I think some poeple are only doing the Saturday. To get the best pricing I'll probably put 2 poeple to a hotel room, so please let me know if you'd like a single room. Can you come back to myself or Paul Sherman via PM so we can get a headcound and I'll come back with pricing and accomodation details early next week. Early indications look like were going to have a fair few. If anyone is coming and sorting their own accomodation let us know too. Cheers!
  6. Never even thought of that as an option. Agree AA are brutle but that way its only half as bad. Will have a look for myself..... Cheers
  7. Would be good to have ya Danno. What about Johnstown????
  8. Ah yes. That lovely tall brunette. And they wouldnt even serve us beer. Apparently it was a family restaurant. We weren't happy for all of about 2 minutes untill our waitress came along. NICE. Mr Fish came into his own that night let me tell ya. Can you remember her name Paul? I know there is another thread forn this stuff... Sorry
  9. Yeah bring whoever you want mate. I'll be bringing 2 non forum members along too. Stu_London is bringing a friend too. His name is dancing_queen_stu_london (aka very drunk Stu). On that note, heres some memories from last years chase. Stu and Ian were on the total razzle the night before attempting the Big Texan 72 oz steak challenge. Watch out for our waitress Kayleigh twords the end.
  10. I'm no pool shark. I'm what you would classify as brutle at pool. There are lots of good music venues down there. Will see whats happening closer to the event. Paul Sherman is the pool shark.
  11. If this is off topic mods please remove, but i just had to giggle when my wife came accross these while trying to get christmas presie ideas for me. Since Michael was with us on the last chase I thought I'd put this up. http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/kitsch-daft...nets/index.html
  12. The more the merrier watcher. Your probably talking about the Mardyke. Thats not a bad idea at all. They have bowling too so that would be a bit of craic. PS is a bit of a pool shark. I wont be be drinking Guinness either. I'm more of a heineken man, I'm sure I dont have to remind anyone on last years chase of that.
  13. No Presure then Paul. Sorting out some of the details with Ian at the moment. Will be back on with acomodation details later. Should be able to sort out a good deal in a half decent hotel through a work colleague. Were thinking of organising an activity for the Saturday. We cant drink for the whole day, or can we? Thinking of sorting a minibus and heading to a place not too far outisde the city (watergrasshill) for go-carting we can drink on bus on the way hehe, not me though. Possibly a trip to the Jameson Brewery here in Midleton. Either way theres lots to do so were open to any suggestions from all. If this is half as good as the London Storm Chase 2009 "Management meeting", it will be a legend! Hopefully we'll get a few of the irish forum members at this aswell.
  14. Should be worth a few free beers next year Paul :o
  15. Just finished watching that here in OZ. I really enjoyed it! Thought the editing was quiet good appart from the fake thunder but you'll always get that. The last 15 mins did seem a bit rushed but still thought it was good. Hehe. You know when I said in the footage "Look at the f-ing size of that" I wasn't talking about anything weather related. Louise is a very lucky lady Paul!
  16. Looking forward to seeing this. I'm over in Australia on hols with the young lady at the moment but I'm not going to miss this. I always keep a P.C on back home that I can access via the web, so I was able to time a stream grab from my slingbox. i would have watched live except I didnt have any internet access whrere I was in Airlie Beach and the whole time diference thing. Am downloading now over a slow connection here in Townsville NE OZ. Bout 2 more hours before its down. Should be good. I missed a supercell in Brisbane by 1 day B)
  17. Yeah Paul, it really was great to meet you and all the lads again. It really was great craic. Like being back in the US except without the Storms. I must admit I dont remember what the handshake was about. I know it was Stu and Ian but after that I think I was a little too drunk to remember. ???
  18. Ian has the photos due to technical difficulties of my own. I also lost left me keys and Phone in London. If you like keys and phones generally don’t go on the raz with Netweather! Ian has found them thanks be to jebus and has kindly offered to send them over (cheers Ian). Was a great night. I’m astounded by Ian’s ability to come up with bottles of booze even when the bar well and truly closed. Even if he has to take it from a poor young lady who had to be escorted from the building. We drank it anyway. Legend!
  19. That was bloody awesome! That bears cage lightning was something else! Wedge tornado, train carrages blown over. P.S on de telly. Excellent!
  20. Nice one Nick. Looking forward to the next installment. Nice grumpy picture of me. Cheers for that. B)
