  1. Hey Dave, I'm a day early on tour three. Hadn't planned on doing much except relax with a few beers and have the batteries charged (in every sense) for the chase. You staying in Irving?
  2. I was really just wondering about what was around the hotel since the lads were talking about Walmart and restaurant within walking distance etc. Then I thought I'd have some fun, but then decided it might be a bad idea.
  3. Je suis d'avis pour 50 $ - 100 $ par jour selon le nombre de jours, nous avons le bas et combien vous buvez de la bière! Sorry you said in english I would allow for $50 - $100 per day depending how many down days we have and how much beer you drink! Boom Boom
  4. Sorry Pat I dont remember. I got the shuttle before a few years ago and cant remember. Like you I got taxi last year. I didnt remember a wallmart either which was why i was asking
  5. Aron / Pat are ye staying in Best Western Irving?
  6. Is it the last video you put on on Facebook from N Carolina boss? Edit it obviously wasnt. didnt fully read your last post.
  7. I like the Smily rating. I think the SPC should do the same rather than drawing mens private bits on the map of the good old USA.
  8. Welcome Martin. If you’re not using it already I'd recommend Franson GPSGate for sharing your GPS receiver between multiple apps. They've recently released a free version (express). We use it all the time, but we tend to have multiple GPS receivers with us for redundancy etc. http://gpsgate.com/download
  9. I must say I like some of the new features on the Live chase page on TVN. Especially the local weather warnings when you click on the map.
  10. For what? You know me mate, Wallmart stop serving beer at 10:00 at the latest depending on the state. I'll always have a few Heineken's on reserve for end of chase day, and I normally get a few more bud or something to make sure none of ye touch my Heineken.
  11. Good for you Tom. I would love to do this. Any idea how much it costs?
  12. Remember I had to take Ian back to the the hotel in an unusual reversal or roles as he was worse for ware. That was in or about that time give or take. Oh screw it. Ian and I are a couple. There ya happy!
  13. A few crappy phone pics from Cardiff Found this in my pocket the next morning. I have no recolection of getting this. Super homo erotic! (which is fine) Wouldnt be the first time.
  14. Ha! Whole nother country and I'm the first to post. Good night had by all. Crap phone pics will follow later.
  15. Paul picking me up in Bristol at 4:10 ish so we should be there for about 5:00 ish
  16. Hi Criag, That one was ISO 200 f/6.3 and 2 second exposure. I thought the exposure was longer but just shows how bright / close the strike was. Was zoomed out to the max my 18 - 55 would let me.
  17. From a lightning point of view that is a night I will never forget. The frequency of the lightning strikes was unreal. I should point out that you can only see about 10% of the strikes in that clip in the field of view of the camera. We had lightning north, south, east and west all at the same time. This is probably my fav lightning pic from that storm, its a bit over exposed and shame about the truck but it did allow for the leader to be photographed before the return stroke which is rare enough to get on camera.
  18. Yeah I was just going to suggest that its probably a good idea to use a DSLR for video these days now since its affordable now. Dam good sensor, loads of manual controls and more importantly awesome lenses that you probably have already if you've owned a DSLR before. I'm probably going to get either the Canon 60D or the 7D before I head out. Both do full 1080i video as well as being a dam good camera. I'll still bring the 450D out as a backup. Ah Tom. The end of an era. What happened Mr Hi8? Which hotel did you book then Ian?
