  1. Camera and tripod and lightning trigger are ready just in case. There’s an area of land about 2 mins away I can drive to which looks sort of south.
  2. I have a stock of chloroquine in my cupboard and zinc too so hopefully it is the real deal!
  3. Yes i've been following the research into Chloroquine closely - so much so I managed to get hold of some (worst case scenario) - I'm glad it's being ramped up in hospitals worldwide now and showing very promising results.
  4. If you can manage it, I found a hot shower good for my chest when I had shortness of breath. Not sure if it’s good advice or not.
  5. Now I hate to bring this up again but the ‘flu’ I had felt similar - in the sense it felt unusually ‘weird’ and different. i felt absolutely appalling but it didn’t really put me in bed and I could still move around etc. Just couldn’t breathe properly, had a racking cough and a high temperature. Infact, most colds I’ve had in my life have made me more fatigued. This felt almost ‘surgical’ for want of a better word. edit: to add to this I always get sinus issues. I was waiting for the blocked nose and increasing snot to come but it never did. Nose remained clean as a whistle. That has literally never happened to me before.
  6. Lots of rest and positive thoughts! Keep us updated if you can.
  7. Wasn’t the first confirmed case in China November 17th? It’s certainly speculated to be the case. im not saying it’s true at all but it is quite the coincidence.
  8. I wonder if it’s almost like a rallying cry to get us all focused on working together to beat this thing and take it seriously.
  9. There are SOME studies out there which suggest nicotine could block the pathways the virus needs to enter. obviously smoking is really bad for you so god knows.
  10. I read that as "restaurant football" at least 3 times.
  11. PM me for details - I don't want to get her in trouble by accident.
  12. My partner works on the frailty ward, literally with the most vulnerable patients you can imagine. They're plonking Covid patients on these wards already. It's going to be a disaster.
  13. It's a real conundrum. I work from home so I would keep my kids home (if I had them), but i can understand why it's so difficult for those who can't work from home. They have to understand it's not a holiday and excuse to "muck about" - though I know full well if I was a teenager I would do exactly that.
  14. A serology test is coming then. Excellent. Wonder how accessible it will be to the general public. Also schools must be closed around here. Kids wandering around in their droves.
  15. Lloyds TSB in Andover had 2 employees test positive for Covid-19 on friday (a big open plan office of about 100-150 workers). They closed the office over the weekend for a clean but have now re-opened and forced staff to come back in - despite i'm guessing a fair few of them having had contact with the infected workers. Is that right?
  16. Always the BBC website for that mate. I personally like the fact this thread basically encompasses all facets of the pandemic. I'm learning things all the time about the economy and biology and all-sorts while at the same time receiving positive encouragement from people regarding my anxiety. It's great! If we were unable to speculate, the thread would be largely empty and pointless. I do agree some posters, myself included, make the odd hyperbole/dramatic post, but i'm trying to keep that to a minimum.
  17. So am i right in thinking Trump is giving everyone a grand to tie them over until this dies down? That wouldn't even cover half my months wages.
  18. What are your thoughts on nicotine (just nicotine, not all the other toxic stuff in cigarettes) inhibiting ACE2 receptors? I've definitely research/speculation on that in the science section on reddit.
  19. Fingers crossed. Chloroquine is dirt cheap and the UK has stockpiles. I even have some at home.
  20. Researchers want to trial drug ‘cure’ for coronavirus on patients AMP.NEWS.COM.AU A team of Australian researchers say they’ve found a cure for the novel coronavirus and hope to have patients enrolled in a nationwide trial by the end of the month. The Australians reporting great success with combo of Chloroquine and an HIV drug.
  21. I dont often need to take one to be fair. Maybe once every couple of weeks - usually from dust or something similar. I do get hayfever though. I'll stick to only taking one if they get unbearably bad. Thank you for all your advice:)
  22. Oh for goodness sakes haha, everything I do is a scourge on my immune system. Ibuprofen? Check. Piriton? Check. I do worry with regards to anti-histamines actually because if my allergies are really playing up, I can feel a little wheezy.
  23. I'm not that young nor healthy:( No underlying health conditions that I know of, but I have been a moderate smoker for a long time. Struggling to pack it in, though I have now stopped at work.
  24. Last night was a rough one. Started feeling short of breath (likely anxiety + a bit of indigestion) - I could feel myself getting worked up. Every time I dozed off I would wake up with a jolt. Horrible.
