Seems to be pretty happy to sit at 0.6c around here.
-
Still hovering around 0.6-0.8c around here.
-
-
Dropped to 1c here now
-
Looks like London is in the Amber warning zone now? Take that as an upgrade on snow potential.
-
Still 0.0c here, sunny tho more cloud is building.
-
Hmmm, I'm not an expert weather person but its looking far more promising in the south east for this weekend based on these latest models.
-
Well this has thrown my travel into more chaos, and looking around here we might get a snow event on Sunday which would leave me stranded! Disappointed about tomorrow, travel or not I do love a snow event!
-
Help! Anyone give me some advice here, I was supposed to be travelling up to the North West this weekend, yesterday I decided it was too risky to travel based on discussions here and the forecast but today it seems to have flipped and pushed the snow further west, but obviously there is a chance this could be slightly wrong too and snow could still affect travel - on the train this is on the West Coast Mainline - is the trip still a tad risky. Obviously there now seemingly seems to be a snow risk for the South East for Sunday now, so I need to take that into account for getting back home. But what would people suggest?
-
Well if she is your girlfriend I would say you have every chance
Hahaha, thanks!
Seems others agree with me, I think it will need to be rearranged, I'm hopeful of a major snow event down here in London but it seems she will deffo have a major snow event up in the North East, I'll give the weather models another 24hours or so to try and work out what is likely top happen but looking at it, getting from Croydon to Euston might be a mission let alone hoping Virgin are running trains via what seems to be the majority of the snow through the midlands towards Manchester.

Anyone here can help. I'm supposed to be travelling Friday evening (after 7pm) up to my girlfriend in Manchester on Friday night. What - honestly - chances do you think I have? Even if we don't get too much snow down here, the metoffice amber warnings for North East England could play havoc with rail. I've not booked a ticket (yet) but I'm 50/50 that even making the trip will be impossible.
Plus I have to return on Sunday and looking at the model thread it seems that we might be in for a second dose of snow then and I could end up stranded!
Anyone willing to have a stab in the dark to what could happen?!
-
Seems the second one has passed through now, heavy rain yet again, and brightening skies, although this is what happened before and 20mins later another one rolled through.
-
Just sitting though our second storm in the last 45mins now, first one passed through in 15mins and the second one started up around 5mins ago, but rumbles all around ...
-
Still 28.3c here, lots of cloud, not much else, similar conditions to what is over at wimbledon
-
Overcast now and well still darn hot, currently 29.7c
-
Still pretty sunny around here, odd bits of cloud but my garden sensor is measuring 33.6c still, hoping its enough for tonight still! Love a good storm!
-
Lots of cloud now, temp had dropped back to 29.5c too
-
Just hit 30c here in the garden, but the skies are hazing over
-
Sunny, although the blue skies are becoming white, I assume from the heat of the city etc. Currently getting 29.7c in my garden, dew point of around 16c (which seems a bit low!)
-
Low of 15.5c last night, just shy of 20c at present at 19.8c, clear skies, could be a warm one
-
Be nice to have something here but its looking unlikely looking at the radar, lot might change tho? Feels like we could do with a storm here, currently 21.7c, 33% humidity, breeze has picked up a bit and cloudy but the decent stuff seems to be a lot further out to to the west.
-
Currently sunny, cloud is burning back (tho more is expected mid-morning as the warm front passes over before this evenings rain!) currently 16.3c after an overnight low of 9.3c
-
Cloud is slowly breaking back but I'd say sunny spells now, with a cool breeze currently 14.5c
-
Cloudy and cool start, currently 8c, low of 6.7c.
BBC still saying 18-19c again today where as realistically I've not recorded much more than 16c the last couple of days and even that was late afternoon 4-5pm time, I expect another coolish day (in comparison to the last week or so) today.
