  1. hello

Still raining, goodness knows how much has fallen this week. I had a min temp of 14.5C, in itself 3.5C higher than the normal for this time of the year. But its the lowest I have recorded since 1st August! Its not been below 14C since 28th July. Has anyone else been getting such high minimums at night?

The average min temp for the first 10 days is 16.5C, an amazing value.

  2. Hi

Wow, that was a pretty good electrical storm, rain quite heavy but nothing like earlier this afternoon. Thunder and lightning as good as any I have seen in a few years; had to disconnect for a time. Storm started about 1915 its now clearing north and west. Lightning seemed mostly c-c but must have been some c-g judging from the almost instantaneous and very loud cracks. Lightning every 10-15 secs for a time.

  3. hi

I'll probably get my knuckles rapped but never mind. If you all want to see why you are getting the weather you are this morning, then try the site below, if you have not already found it!

Yes by Paul our host, its quite superb and will get better he promises. If anyone is not sure about which picture is which, and showing what, then if Paul is busy I don't mind trying to explain.

  4. morning

An unbelievable min temp of 21.0C, that has to be a record for this part of the world. I've never had one that high and looking at the Finningley records their highest min was in August 1990 with 19.2C. Very unpleasant so not much sleep last night.

Currently dropped to 19.7C with slight rain and overcast.

  6. hello

Reached 27.9C in spite of much cloud around this afternoon. That is the 3rd highest this year and the highest since 8th June.

Not had any storm but its showered since about 1850. Fits both Met radar and their forecast this morning warning of storms/showers setting off over the Pennines and moving NNE.
