    Woken by thunder about 20 minutes ago, plenty of lightening rumbles a little distance away. Could be pretty amazing if it gets closer. Looks like some are heading this way so could be a fun day

    Plenty of cloud to the north west of me which would be somewhere north of peterborough probably something to do with that rain heading towards peterborough. Rather hot here still, nice in the shade

    Cloud here all day, nothing falling and all that was on the ground has now gone least there will not be much ice to worry about tomorrow now

    Sensor says 2.2c and judging by the rate of melt here wouldn't be surprised if it was actually around that.

    If that blob over norwich is coming this direction temps are going to have to drop big time for it to fall as snow!!

    1-2cm here paths just about covered although they were very wet . . been constant tiny flakes since 7 this morning maybe I am being greedy but would like to see some nice BIG flakes even just for 10 minutes

    The decent stuff must be saving itself for you then . . still got very light snow although do have a covering on grass, cars and roofs now, roads still clear here. Good luck hopefully it will be generous and let us have some heavy stuff too :-)

    I feel your pain but some snow is better than none . . . the white looks pretty so make the best of it . . I am in exactly the same boat :-)

    Very wet light snow non stop since 7am resulted in zero snow on any surface . . think its teasing as it looks white when it falls . .

    Very wet snow here not really settling anywhere except for on grass, ground very wet now think it is a tad too warm at the moment . .

    Microscopic snizzle started falling about half hour ago . . at least something is falling out of the sky.

    Still not a sausage here . . sounds like it might be getting closer though . . Now do I stay up for a bit or head to bed hmmmm I guess when I get to bed it is bound to start!!

    I am right on the border of Norfolk/Cambs . . hoping to at least get some snow as I had to cancel plans this weekend :-/

    Looking at radar we should have something falling from the sky . . . not too bothered as its saying it should be rain but gone very very cold outside more windchill than temperature though

    Journey to Crewe postponed this weekend . . . so will be weather watching from home . .

    Supposed to be travelling to Crewe tomorrow would appreciate if anyone on the route could let me know what its like at the moment . . will check again over the next 24 hours

    Yes that is what I thought, we have a 4 wheel drive car but its everyone else. We usually go from Peterborough to the bottom of the M6 on smaller roads they are the ones that I would be more concerned about. Will we watching things very closely :-/

    Hmmm was supposed to be going to Crewe on Saturday . . . I wonder if that will have to be put on hold not liking the look of things on the current forecast for crossing the country.

    Sleet/Snow showers here for the past 2 hours some quite big flakes but ground so wet I cant see it doing much Janet

    Hail/sleet mixture fell here for about 10 minutes, blue sky again now but looks like more heading our way looking at the radar
