    Just drove through some rather heavy rain, was seemingly thunder as well but did not hear it due to being in the car. All quiet again now

    29c in the house with all the doors and windows open . . . sure hope something cools this down before bed time!!

    is it just my eyes or is that heavy rain just north of the wash hooking around southwards? might just be wishful thinking of course. Also wind has picked up here a little in the last few mins no sigh of any heavy dark clouds though

    Could do with a storm around here pretty hot and humid indoors. Would be nice if that storm to the north drifted south a little :-/

    Feeling muggy and very cloudy at the moment. Seen a quick glimmer of sunshine on the school run. Current temp 22c

    Heavy rain here about an hour ago together with a few rumbles of thunder. Made the drive to school interesting. All gone quiet now with sunny spells again

    Hugs flakes here for about 20 minutes now looking more like sleet that is falling outside.

    Its amazing how fast it has built up as its only small flakes that are falling. Time for me to go out in it now complete with a few shovels for the morning!!.... Have a good night

    time to clear the car and get out to work . . not looking forward to the journey home but at least I will get there before it gets even worse. Enjoy the weather :-)

    Light snow here now a light dusting on the ground . . save the heavy stuff till after 11 will be at work by then!!

    Have mixed feelings over this snow for the first time ever . . unfortunately I am working tonight so whatever happens overnight I have to face driving home in at 7am tomorrow. Will be keeping a watch out the window as much as possible though. Maybe a few shovels in the boot might be a good idea??

    Hmm ok the likelyhood of snow in my area has gone from almost 80% to 60% . . . I was hoping that the likelyhood would go up not down!!

    very very light, very very small flakes falling here right now, nothing to get excited about yet though

    Sleety drizzle here for the past hour nothing more than that. Guess we will have to see what the evening has in store.

    Not holding my breath, would be nice to get some snow and that post by Coast suggests that we might but so much can change in a short time. As I am working that night I shall keep an eye out the window every now and then though!! As for tonight looks like rain here anyway.

    some school closures in and around Luton, just been talking to my sister who lives there. Looking at web cams not enough snow to warrant that but then it is the last school day before christmas

    Winds picking up here also. Wind speed is around 30mph but have had a lot of gusts of around 60mph in the last half hour
