    Absolutely beautiful from the GFS 18z cold air and snow spreading south at day 9 fully expecting the ECM to be showing this in the next 24hrs.

    Don’t quite get the fascination with the ECM if it was the other way round folk would be saying I would be wary until the GFS is on board.

    Fantastic Meto long ranger The direction of travel is becoming a little clearer but by no means guaranteed. colder buy day with overnight frost for the next five days or so with the HP settling the weather down,looks like the briefest of slightly less cold,before turning cold again,then the fun begins as per the Meto long ranger.

    Fantastic long range there from the Meto if you are not happy with that you need to give your head a wobble, very unlike them to commit at that time scale.

    Isn’t this just typical of the GFS though. shows you filth one day then goes AWOL to suddenly showing the filth again.its either picked up a new signal or its going off on one.not to be discounted of course,but I think its been barking up the wrong tree for the last few runs. we will see.

    Well the other thread is entertaining I had a post deleted yesterday because I quoted the Meto(slap wrist)and a PM from the mods now this afternoon we have a member who cannot stop farting,a member who is watching from behind the sofa,a member wishing someone good luck in a new job all of topic and not deleted. I think in law it called discrimination.

    Well the extended forecast makes no sense the 2nd half that has been added today totally contradicts the first part that has been there for days.

    Happy new year to you all Thankfully we are going to loose the onslaught from the Atlantic come weekend.to be replaced with a UK High pressure which will bring frosty nights and sparkling winter sunshine,feeling cold at the surface despite the sunshine,then all eyes on to the models to see were the HP ends up,hopefully to our west or North west setting up a cold N to NE flow,that’s for the future,looking forward to drying out a bit and at least seeing some frost and sunshine.

    I should know better than to post a day eleven chart,but hey it’s nearly 2024 certainly feel a bit chilly.

    Irrespective and not even worth debating at that range that is a bitterly cold chart,harsh overnight frosts and temperatures just above freezing by day,from next weekend it looks like it turning colder.
