  1. Temperature 2C Dewpoint -0C ... come at is precipitation!
  2. Same here just a few patches left on the grass and cars, more snow needed to replace it!
  3. There's a bit of a thaw going on now, roofs are looking less white and there's plenty of dripping!
  4. Can see the low on xc weather now roughly centred around Boulmer
  5. I think once the onshore wind comes, any precipitation is going to intensify as it always does when we have moist winds of the North Sea. Whenever we get a front that pushes that starts to push the precipitation off the sea we always end up getting as much as the west normally gets off the Atlantic, its the same effect. But i am worried about the push of warmer surface temperatures off the sea. Could be a close one, right now its still snowing moderately, with smaller flakes.
  6. Yup lovely big flakes now, This is one of the occasions where were getting the same weather even though I'm only a mile away haha
  7. Hmm I appear to have slept in haha. It looks as if the snow is just starting here falling moderately no substantial covering to see just yet
  8. Its definitely settling better than before, gives us more hope for tomorrow I think
  9. Well i don't even know what to think now as the radar has decided there is no longer a front. Last look out of the window the snow was falling more heavily but very wet, car windscreen was literally just as if it was raining. Intensity has lowered again and looks sleety.
  10. Is it just me or is the radar looking slightly better? Still lightly snowing but nowt really settling
  11. I'll concur 1.5 atm haha the intensity has definitely increased from when it started, i'm still like atm though haha
  12. I've got a feeling i'm going to have to drive up a hill to get my fix tomorrow, this light stuff is so underwhelming! What would be most devastating is for it to be snowing heavily and forming big puddles tomorrow
  13. The latest GFS does intensify the front by 9pm tonight, so i think we'd better keep our eye on the radar in case it does. There must be a reason why it intensifies, and even if that relatively light precipitation moves over to the east of the region its going to stick around for a while its moving at a snails pace!
  14. At 9am though when it's supposed to be the most marginal, what does it say after? Sky still looking quite broken here in the last bits of light
  15. Enough to lower the Dewpoint below freezing I hope it's hovering around 1c here
  16. Oh well the long term forecasts then, What time you reckon for any precipitation to reach us today?
  17. Those same meteograms also have -8s and -9s for Thursday!
  18. The Met computerised forecasts may say sleet/snow but their text forecasts don't mention anything of the sort. Sunday: A mainly dry morning with some bright spells but very cold, then clouding over with snow moving in from the north and west later in the afternoon. Icy at times. Maximum Temperature 3 °C. Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Snow across the region overnight, clearing early Monday but further snow later giving a covering. Icy. Thereafter, staying very cold with snow showers, icy patches and hard overnight frosts. For my location, and anyone at a similar vicinity to the coast and similar height above sea level, I reckon its going to be snow on Sunday Night, before milder uppers move in and the snow turns wet and even to sleet for a time, by mid morning Monday i'd the marginality should be removed somewhat. I think we've been in worse situations and still managed to get a decent amount of snow, so hopefully the mild sector isn't too penetrative to warm the surface temperatures too much, and you would think it's effects would be lessened by the time of day it arrives for us at like early morning.
  19. Met was forecasting all snow here too but now have added some sleet in too, hmm!
  20. What weather model do those meteograms get their data from?
