    How far north and west into southern england is this area tonight going to move? Is it still not certain of its progresion? Apart from that maybe tonight i don't see anymore falling in west country but i could be wrong.

    wow we have like 8 inches of snow outside now! Nothing falling now but i wonder if we can expect to see more? Im getting greedy now but it looks so good out there

    i don't think it is over just look to the south west it is moving in slightly ne direction and ppn area is expanding and getting intense. I don't think there is threat of rain for a while round our area and bristol - temp is down to -0.9c so its actually been getting colder.

    yes i have already written off work for tomoro I am not sur was is gonna happen later but that band of showers around bristol and somerset has just about cleared me. Where should i be looking for further ppn to come from?

    yes im in middle of that and it is accumilating at a rapid rate. looks like we have around 6/7 inches now although 3 of that was from tues It looks alot lighter and patchy after this heavy stream? will it intensify u think more later?

    met office have heavy snow forecast for bristol and north someret until mid morning but showers seem like they will clear within 2 hours?? Is there more going to hit this are later on in early morning of any real density? Im a little drunk now so im sory if its not to clear lol

    Temperature is steady at -0.5c Id expect it to be creeping up a little if this was turning to rain from the south? At the moment it seems far from marginal here. and yes i have been drinking for a while now but im not imagining it lol

    Nothing but heavy snow here on mendips, the 3/4 inches we had left have now been covered by a further 2 inches at least and looks like alot more to come as long as it stays as snow although latest forecast sugest it wont change to rain til mid day in north somerset and bristol?

    How strange for you to have a lower temperature considering how high up i am! Although to be fair the air reading is abit close to house really but still. that echo does look damn nasty my friend.

    nice chunky green echo expanding and just about to go over the mendip hills so this could be interesting!! temp has dropped further now -0.6

    cloudy with no snow here at moment but green echoes are close by and temperature is -0.5 and steady

    is it fairly dry snow? does it look like it might turn? That precipitaions overlay is freeking me out and just worry's me!

    Im not sure about that band hitting north somerset and bristol it seems to want to pass to the east of us?? Had a dusting so far but im just worried it will turn to rain in early hours

    Just had a heavy shower which has left 1cm current temp is -0.6 I am still worried it will turn to rain later though even here on high ground :lol:

    This snow does seem quite dry first thing even for elevation i was expecting some wet snow and then for it to improve from 10ish temp is 0.5c

    Does anyone else notice how anguin always talks about the cotswolds but not even a mention of mendips, exmoor, quantocks ect. hmmm still have no clue from that forecast. The national was even worse they were zoomed in on scotland while they ran graphics forward so only giving you the picture mid afternoon in west when they paned back down.

    Yes a dodgy forecast by mr anguin however it must be tough. Had us on the edge of area turning back to rain at mid day tomoro but i am hopeful with altitude i may hold on to it.

    Well i have heard that chap from dartmoor around 260m/900ft that it had turned to snow earlier.

    Temp is still falling here it is down to 1.9c now and just had a light flurry which lasted all of 2 mins. just to correct that is has just hit 1.7

    Glad to hear it! Another interesting thing is my temperature has been falling steady now for 2 hours after a thaw started to set in. max temp was about 12pm at 3.4c Now it is only 2.1c and falling!
