    If you look at the radar and click forward so it predicts the path of shower activity it shows the ppn moving north towards bristol area. Is the radar any good at projecting the path though? it seems to be moving west although eastern edge has intensified a little.

    Yes im a little confused, maybe it will rear its head abit in couple of hours or it will pivot alot more back this direction? just seems a lack of ppn although im sure one of the forecasts must be correct.

    yes but which direction is it coming from? is that current band going to double back?

    Yes on that forecast he didnt mention mendips but they were under that other slightly smaller area of snow graphics just south west of bristol. just worried that snow isgoing to leave in hour or so and not return! A37 through village is nearly at a stand still now with snow still falling, i say its moderate with heavy bursts. current temperature is -2.1 laying snow is around 4/5 inches now

    local weather man said snow hanging round til 3amish but that ppn looks like its on a westerly track now and would surely start clearing somerset in couple of hours? please som1 explain?

    The snow is really building up on mendips in last couple of hours and latest forecast has snow over region right into early hours? Is there a second bout of showers heading our way then or will this just pivot round all night? heres a couple of pics i took just before dark.

    moderate snow with heavy busts here on mendipd finaly! Question is how much of the ppn is coming into west country this evening?

    That ppn out to the east lokks lik it is heading straight for west country now. its def moving in an almost westerly direction!

    That huge band of snow over central eastern areas is it going to be coming bristols way in next couple of hours you think?

    my word i went out side and in places you cannot see the tarmac its that thick! well where it has drifted! :o Still very pathetic.

    still getting the odd few flakes here and there but looking at the radar it seems to fizzle out over mid/north somerset and bristol now why?

    i hope your right about west country so far its been one of my worst snow event winters ever here with 0 days of laying snow on the mendips!! the average is like 15.

    how rubbish - I drive to work in bristol and now some heavy snow is moving through mid somerset. looks light and patchy for bristol area in next couple of hours.

    Doesnt look good for west country from what i can see. had a quick look and met and bbc both have few showers from this low. Any chance of a change?

    nothing at all!! what a surprise and we are going to miss out on tonights fun by the look of it!

    still awake damn it. Those showers seem to be heading toward somerset or has the radar broken again?! can't make it into the no snow zone surely. :o

    Met office radar is fubar too. This maybe the time to get some sleep.

    I think it will fizzle out until we just get an odd flake in the early hours. If i have to unleash my car scraper i'll be surprised!

    All the anticipation of this snow event is killing my nerves, i gonna be a wreck by tomoro evening. i work outside but i am gonna be cloud spotting all day in hope of a shower. Then if it does turn up there is a nice drive home up into the mendips which would be intresting to say the least. shame we cant get some tonight and in early hours to stop me getting out of the village

    -4.5 here now it seems to be getting colder again. wonder how cold it will get tonight? few showers look like they might clip me in bout hour.

    very cold out there at the moment with -4.1 however temp drop has slowed as cloudy skys seem to be encroaching! who knows might even see a flake before this cold spell is out?

    On the positive side i see those showers are making progress into central areas and are getting closer to western areas however they seem to be fragmenting some what.

    well you have just depressed me even more. time to put away that sledge and get the gun out. <_<
