  1. I don't think we had any snow here at any point during the night, if we did it must have been only a sprinkling and melted again. It's just damp outside with a howling gale. Temp currently 3.7oC, dewpoint -0.6.
  2. Am envious of those of you with a snow covering already! Currently it's 4.7oC here, dewpoint at -0.1, but only damp outside, no precipitation falling at the moment. Fingers crossed for some white stuff later.
  3. Torrential rain passing through here now, lashing against the windows. Slates off the roof after last night, hope we don't get a leak! Currently 12.2oC.
  4. Very big gusts here now, the last blew several slates off our roof.
  5. 5 or 6 slates just flew off our roof in the howling gale. Too exposed here, west facing slope of the Malverns.
  6. I'm not looking forward to the gales tomorrow, being on the west facing side of the Malverns. The wind hits us full on. Last time, we lost part of our fence. Needless to say I spent a bit of time putting smaller items away today, along with the patio chairs. Reasonably quiet here this evening, raining a lightly at the mo, 10.2oC.
  7. Torrential rain just now, easing off a bit. Hill fog, pretty unpleasant today.
  8. Rain's eased off here, thick fog covering the Hills. Temp 13oC.
  9. Awoke to the sound of heavy rain lashing the windows. From the radar looks like we're in for a soggy day.
  10. After a cloudy dry start to the day, the weather's turned diabolical again and we have torrential rain.
  11. http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en lightning map going crazy. Even Telford might see some action!
  12. Yep, if it's anything like what we just had, it's going to be impressive.
  13. That storm that passed over us is heading for Shrewsbury, if lightning live is anything to go by.
  14. That was simply insane! A huge low-hanging long cloud that had fingers down to the hills passed right over us, heading NNW so we got hit full force. Almost constant lightning and thunder. As the cloud reached us all hell broke loose with wind whipping the rain, trees bending, pots blown over, torrential rain. Completely worth having our high elevation view west! Fantastic. Only downer is I had brought in the rain gauge earlier to clean it and hadn't put it back, so no idea how much rain we had.
  15. Storm is only a couple of kms from us now. Approaching rapidly from the south. Constant rumbling.
  16. Storm passed us with several rumbles of thunder followed by some heavy rain, now the sun's coming out. Still hot and humid, 25.1oC.
  17. Rumbles of thunder and now rain here.
  18. Was awoken by a growl of thunder here. Another rumble just now, apparently from that cell on the radar just south of Malvern. A few spots of rain, too.
  19. Sun's been out today but it's clouding over progressively. Very humid out. Hoping for some sparks later tonight.
  20. 23.00 mm of rain recorded so far here and it's still raining, temp currently 15.3oC.
  21. Awoke at 3 a.m. to heavy rain, and it's pretty much continued on ever since then, getting a real drenching here (much needed). No storms but at least welcome rain.
  22. Looking at the rain radar I'd say at least the East side of the Midlands might see some rain/thunder? Looks like it's heading towards us from that large area heading over from the Continent.
  23. Fantastic sunset following a glorious day here on the Malverns. Just took this snapshot:
