  1. Why do you think that?

Because according to the weather forecast this morning on Radio Nottingham what was yesterday being forecast as decent snow event is now forecast as just rain and a weakening affair at that

  2. My doom is based on the the last weather forecast on Radio Nottingham from their weather presenter, basically rain & a weakening affair for tomorrow. Yesterday they were reporting tomorrow as a decent snow event, lets hope they are wrong

  3. i am sure you are right.  but in my eyes March and April are far too late for any proper snow.  Yes it will fall but the likelihood of it sticking or even lying for more than a few hours is very rare.  I love the winter usually and it is ridiculous that we tend to get the cold when it should be getting warmer in the Spring.  Roll on the summer now.  Sick of this winter.

I understand what your saying but certainly where i live in Nottingham, our best snow of 2013 was on March the 20th. Virtually snowed non stop for 24 hours making for a snow fest on the saturday although had gone a few days later. Get the right conditions & you get decent snow in March & isn't the stat your more likely to have a white easter than white xmas.

However I know what you mean, December & January the traditional winter months have been very poor this year if its cold & snow your after & the signs for Feb aren't looking too great either. Lets hope this winter really does have a sting in its tale from a cold prospective, the whole rain & wind is getting boring now.

  4. Whats with the Netweather forecast for Nottingham tomorrow, cloudy with outbreaks of rain ???

I know its suppose to be a cloudy start for the East Midlands tomorrow with cooler tempertures but my local radio forecast had cloud burning back to the coast by the afternoon with pleasant sunny intervals developing, no mention of rain or showers in the forecast. Although in fairness my lawn could do with some

  5. I must admit after this weekends snow, Im happy if thats it now for winter. The thought of the gas & electricity companies rubbing their hands in glee at this extended cold spell does not make me happy, many people nowadays can't afford to have their heating on in Jan/Feb without needing it on at the end of March & April as well

  6. Well what a weekend for where I live the most snow with had all winter yet saturday morning less than a couple of miles away the snow had struggled to settle so they didn't have much at all. Catched up saturday night though.

Also started snowing here at 4 o clock Friday afternoon but it wasn't till about 10 o clock that night that it actually started to settle. 6 hours of wasted snow LOL but can't really grumble as from 4 o clock Friday till breakfast yestereday we had continuous snow falling albiet lighter at times but very heavy at others. Better than January here thats for sure

Is that it for the snow, heard potential for a report performances for the end of the week ?

  7. I think we were unfortunate in that the heavier snow dissipated before it reached us. Tonight's set up looks considerably better for our region, though.

Your quite right as disappointing as this morning was in Nottingham (most snow now gone) its tonight which was always going to be best for our region, as it sinks south condititions should be perfect, Im as confident as I can be with the weather that we will wake up to a decent covering tomorrow
