  1. That's 8 of our offices now closed due to snow, hurry up and snow more in Nottingham please!

Now there's nobody to send me work so I'm bored.

Still fairly light here but settling a little at Castle Meadows.

Im in Ruddington and its getting heavier so should improve soon your way

  2. There is definitely a major pivot taking place now as the northern element of the snow starts to head west and the southern element swings east and then NW. I think if you are north and east of the midlands then your best chance will be when the south east snow swings out and heads NW this afternoon.

I think that makes sense LOL !

need this to happen otherwise I think we will just have to write off today for Nottingham, it was so close as well

  3. We're not interested if it's good event for other places, we want it good for us blum.gif

Exactly this is the East Midlands Thread and so far certainly in Notts the best we have seen is very light snow so you can see why people are a bit frustrated with todays event especially as it appears its stalled just to the west of us. Hopefully we will still get something out of today and personally I think we will if nothing spectacular

The one good thing however is Forest V Derby should be on tomorrow

  4. In fairness as per the Met Office this morning they did say Nottingham would get it late morning, will not be happy if it grinds to halt just short of Notts & peeters out, not after anything spectacular just another covering

Edit: After that little sulk, now seeing the odd flake

  5. As said in earlier in the thread, for once Im not too bothered if we get snow because I want the Forest v Derby game to definitely be on this saturday, so SODs law means we will get snow when im actually not too fussed.

The good news for us this morning, is that signs are improving for us in the East. The Met office guy on Radio Nottingham this morning said we wont get the really heavy stuff but by the end of the day could have at least 5cm which would be a decent top up for what is still left in Nottingham from Monday, my garden for example is still covered. So certainly no blizzards for us but looking better

  6. By light snow, they mean about 5mm over about 50 hours.

That's going to be very light snow, too light to be very interesting to look at.

Thats not what the Met Office Guy said on Radio Notttingham less that 30 mins ago, he said 5 cm plus latest NAE shunting it slightly further East tomorrow as well
