Its this cluster pushing south, somewhere like York could do quite well from it but we'll see.

Looking at the high res models a fair few places could wake up to a dusting of snow. Perhaps the odd localised 1-2cm in places, not just restricted to coastal areas either, West/South Yorkshire as well. Uppers around -9 so marginality shouldn't be an issue.

If anything it shows there is a signal in the models of showers working there way inland.

Snow signal showing on GFS, significant accumulation too.
If we are gonna get cold and cloudy may as well give us some late spring snow.

Yeah a great two day spell of snow, there was still snow cover 2 weeks after as we were stuck under a cloudy easterly.

I dunno if its always Sheffield. Usually on this forum it's either Leeds or Sheffield. I can remember many times Leeds came up top and less times for Sheffield. But conversely the snowfall of 2010 and just gone were deeper than anything Leeds has ever seen.

Measured 17cm of snow. A bit deeper on the grass. Was hoping for more tbh.

Isn't that the pivot that was supposed to be over us, it seems to be where all the energy is building? Looks to be way further north.

I know where you live as I used to live a few doors down lol, much prefer Cookridge to snow than Bramhope always liked walking to Tesco or ASDA in the snow.
And yeah intensity is a joke the radar makes it seem like its getting heavier but its not just constant super fine light snow.

It picked up an hour ago and we finally lost the the road since it's not been gritted since about 6.
Met Office should be correct here.
Aim is to hit 13cm for the best event since 2013.
Intensity is rubbish here maybe averaging 0.25cm an hour
Looking at around 10cm maybe.

We should be good but there's a chance of a gap unless it sinks a little.

True.
There's around 10-11 hours left but the first 7 hours of the amber warning have been poor for low ground.

I think the amber warning is a bit of a flop. It suggests widespread 10-20cm on low ground which isn't looking likely.
