    Better from GFS 18z, low further south east, 850s colder than the 12z, an improvement which will bring snow showers. Fingers crossed for more upgrades tomorrow ??

    ECM & UKMO still says yes for the easterly late weekend and into next week, GFS 06z on its own, confidence building and reeling it in. Seems so long away to get this within 72-96 Edit: -12/-14 uppers into our region midweek on the ecm!! What a run

    Nope, only have puddles and rain water running down the road. Was only a very brief wintry shower. The best we have had for a while, all 8 seconds of it.

    We had light snow for about 8 seconds! Then went back to sleety mess and has now stopped maybe some good news for tonight, could turn more wintry here ??

    Well done to everyone who had snow today! Enjoyed looking through the photos and videos. Unfortunately another damp squib here in SE Essex. Had the odd grauple/hail shower but has been mostly rain. Have my fingers crossed to see what February will bring to us here but not holding my breath, approaching 36months without lying snow now and I need my fix soon!

    just caught up on last night, 2008 for me, joined after the met check forums! Then witnessed my best snowfall in Dec 2010, snow was laying for weeks! Seems so long ago now, surely due another spell soon ?? Confidence building for snow tomorrow, harmonie has the front travelling across the south into London and SE and then pivoting in east anglia and back down into the southeast tomorrow night

    Yep another damp squib here in Benfleet, finally we get out of the hole with no precipitation and now we have sleetymix at best, mostly rain.

    Been in the middle of a precipitation hole for the last 20 minutes, nothing falling, pavements melted just leaving a dusting on cars now, next band about to hit, fingers crossed can get a little covering before the transition to rain starts.

    ?? Would love to take my 10 month old for some essential sledging and first sight of snow at 7am, think the wife would rather a lay in! Fingers crossed for our area mate. Very long overdue, even to see a flake!
