Wind picking up, some drifting snow, shower just to the east..could the Thames be turning it’s snow machine on... -
Progress road/127 was like destruction derby on ice at 4:30am!! Had to have help to move my car from the centre of 127 and then decided to go back home, great covering last night with insane temperatures! ?

Tried the drive to work, got stuck at progress road and have decided to turn back, quite dangerous out there so take care anyone driving!

Wow just wow! Looked out window just now and easily another 10-15cm here in Leigh! Got to drive to work at half 4 near city airport..could struggle

Parts of Kent are getting hammered! The blob just passing frinton/Clacton looks on track to clip Leigh/Southend, intensifying a little on its tracks too..

With the sun rays melting some snow and the cold temperatures, we now have some icicles forming, will look great as the sun goes down..

About 5cm here in Leigh on sea, current showers just passing to the south, suns out with clear blue skies. Thought it was strange to hear a drip in the night, turned out, wasn’t the snow melting but my rad leaking instead, so a nice pool of water in the kitchen and no heating to start the day. Winds look to be changing to a more NE/ENE around lunch time, hopefully we’ll see a few showers for those who have missed out ??

Met seem pretty confident of the more organised bands of ppn coming off the North Sea with ENE winds from 2am given the amber warning, I’d expect the showers to start pepping up again closer we get to midnight

Did hear c2c are running a reduced time table from 9pm due to the snow, keep an eye on it mate,’know what there like! Lol
