  1. More than likely to happen as I’m on nights tonight fingers crossed we get some in snow starved Southend/Leigh/Benfleet and it makes its way to East London so I can see some falling ??We normally do quite well out of theses events that pop up within a few hours
  2. Timed that perfectly then! Makes a change lol Highlight of the winter, hope it gets better than that! ??
  3. Seen my first snowfall this winter!! Just drove home from work fromEast London to Benfleet and see light/moderate snow falling On the A13 between Stanford le hope and Pitsea. That will do for now
  4. Morning, Having moved a couple of weeks ago from Eastwood to Hadleigh, Benfleet, we have our first hard frost. This is the stables at the back looking SE, currently -2c. Lovely!
  5. ?? still looks more of a south of the Thames affair but as always, will be a now casting event, abit of interest tomorrow tracking the low and seeing where it may end up. It may even pivoting back round for north of the Thames and exit southeast?
  6. I’m sure a 13c temperature difference is good enough to form a streamer/showers & obviously any higher than that, then the more convective.
  7. For my part of the region just north of the Thames, we need a ENE flow, with cold enough uppers to create instability over a relatively warm North Sea, the bigger temperature difference the more unstable the air becomes and with a decent enough flow which combines with moisture evaporating off the North Sea creates our convective cloud and brings the showers inland. With a slack flow, and not as cold uppers we won’t achieve that. Our best snowfalls have come from this setup, I love a Thames streamer hopefully we get the chance of one this winter ??
  8. Harmonie doesn’t go out past 7am Thursday at the moment, what will be interesting to see is if that low pivots in the North Sea and the band comes back through the southeast later in the day/Friday. One to keep an eye on also
  9. Harmonie 6z slightly south I think, mainly south of the Thames and keeps the south east in play, heavier precipitation in the channel, swings round and brings north of the Thames in, still ok for our region and still time for upgrades, but most of us should be seeing something falling out the sky ??
  10. Hi Simon, Yeah have attached them, will take with a pinch of salt but good to have on board. gfs 6z still has most of the southeast in the game, just takes out north of the Thames. I would wait and see what the harmonie update looks like within the hour
  11. Icon 06z brings the low further north and us back into play on that run for Wednesday night/Thursday morning ??
  12. Harmonie is still on board for our region, too far out to see if this pivots yet. Next update due at 11am. Euro 4 completely misses us. Confidence still low by the looks of it, fingers crossed ! ??
