    i am so annoyed with all this, i know it was marginal if not definatly rain here, but i would have loved the chance to see what happened rather than it all being in the south west! the Met are usless.

    have we finally conceded defeat in the precipitation over the west over the country, which was supposed to be heading towards london, is no longer going to reach here?

    i give up!! we started off talking about whether we would get rain sleet or snow and now the chances are its going to miss us completly how can the met office get it so wrong?

    is this band of precipitation even going to make it to the south east, just seems to be moving over into wales now and tracking further north, instead of us worrying about whether it would fall as rain, sleet or snow; perhaps we should have checked it was evening coming lol

    How could they make such a mistake, predicting it would come towards the south east it only looks like its heading north?

    i'm in gravesend about 70 ASL and don't currently have a dew point. However it is 2.3c in my location at the moment EDIT : now 2c

    The Met Office are reporting that temps won't be down to around 2c to the east of london until around 12am-1am, but we already currrently have that? will temps rise as the precipitation moves in? but i can only see the difference of 4c already a huge bonus?

    are the BBC and METO expecting temps in the south and east of london to warm up slightly before the precipitation begins, because temperatures are dropping fast, and its really cold outside now, and we are still predicted rain. Also the wind directions have changed a lot earlier than the METO have predicted, currently WNW instead of the southerly winds supposed to be having now. Any help? lol

    South West England: Devon Dorset Somerset Heavy snow is likely to lead to temporary accumulations this evening before turning back to rain around midnight. Between 3 to 6 cm is expected in places. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.     theres still around 7 cms here in gravesend and its gonna be the last i see of it this evening as the rain pushs in and melts it all away

    everything has stopped now here again, think that must be it now.

    so this snow line could continue through this evening? and the colder temps will return, making sure it stays as snow? is this not a long shot? could be interesting if it does occur

    it seems to die down a little with sleet and small snow grains and then picks up again into a heavy snow shower, just hoping things continue like these but seems as though its dying out now on the radar.

    after a brief pause, heavy snow has returned to gravesend in 50p size flakes how long is this precipitation going to continue? BBC think around 6pm

    sleet now here in gravesend, looks as though its over for us now!

    heavy snow now, very large flakes in gravesend getting deeper on the ground very fast... although think it will turn to sleet/rain in the next hour or so, after hearinf where the rain/sleet currently is.

    Could anyone tell me the current temperature in Gravesend.? my weather station seems to have broken. still snowing here quite heavy, although i worry about it turning to sleet/rain later this evening.

    heavy snow gravesend, quite large flakes at the moment too.

    it was really light precipitation and has now turned back to snow now that it is heavier.

    i'm really disapointed with the snow amounts here in gravesend, the streamer has missed us by about 6/8 miles. just hope this band coming up from france provides us with some kind of actvity.
