    Hi everyone, time to join in the thread again as we get ready for another winter ! That band that crossed through the lothians brought sleet and hail that turned to heavy wet snow here and covered cars in slush and my weather station temp dropped down to 2.0c. Quite impressive considering how mild it's been lately.

    Morning all, a dusting of snow overnight and temp fell to -4.2c, now up at 0.7c.

    Evening all, cold night here with temp sitting at -2.8c. Managed to get out sledging with the kids after work tonight which was fun. Here's hoping we get a few snowy surprises this weekend !

    Just woke up and had a wee look out and its very heavy snow ! Central belt is taking a pasting according to the radar .

    Around 3 or 4cm lying here now and snowing lightly at the moment. Not quite sledging conditions yet but not far away, kids might get on the cresta run after school tomorrow with a bit of luck !

    About an inch of powdery snow here and currently snowing light to moderately for the last 15 minutes.

    Great to see more and more people starting to report snow. Been snowing here for the last 40 mins and it's lovely dry powdery snow for a change. Lorenzo, keep that streamer over Livingston moving towards me at Currie when you've finished with it !

    I'm at work at Bathgate and it's really heavy and showing no signs of easing off, so there will be a fair bit more headed for Currie by the looks of it !

    Just been outside to my garage and the heavy rain showers have been starting to turn sleety. Some very good posts and analysis in here tonight, looking forward to the next few days !

    Yeah 101 although a wee bit on the sleety side, but it's early days and hopefully as the day goes on they will turn more to proper snow.
