Snowing again at last let see if just an quick shower.

Yep its not happening is it here will be grateful for what got and hope lasts an few days before warms up slightly weekend onwards. Suns out and even though its below freezing will expect an steady thaw in unshaded areas.

Great to hear the reports coming in send some here we have about inch here but everything missing us bar the odd flake. So frustrating really thought we would kop it here but not to be so far still better then usual tripe from recent winters.

We have good covering in Hessle but nothing significant nowhere near what thought would get but still enjoying this weather even if snowfall totals have being poor.

Such an frustrating event here so far apart from moderate burst of snow this morning we have largely missed out got an covering but expected more still hope some heavier stuff will hit us later.

Starting to come down heavier again now again much better settling again where it's melted earlier hopefully more to come

Coming down here again now finally just hope we catch some heavy stuff overnight aswell and were going to make an full day with snow cover not 100 per cent so it something just show how rubbish last few years have being.

Quite suprised how much sunshine we have got usually Easterlies are quite cloudy and murky . The radar looks rubbish this afternoon looks interesting early hours of morning and tomorrow morning according to look North let's wait and see.

Can understand people frustration but Eastern areas was predicted to get 10 to 20cms of snow and that has happened in places up to now we have missed out might changed yet. Some places will probably get 20 to 30 cms i think it's going to be the North East England and North East Scotland that will cop the most lucky buggers just the way it goes.

Where was you in Feb 12 And Jan 13?? Hull got plenty of snow then not Dec 10 levels but that's was once in lifetime event more then likely. Has being pretty poor since March 2013 apart from transient dustings. This is most had since then which is bad looked good this morning at one point.

Yes suprised how quick the snow has melted only got half covering now clouds look full of snow but keeps passing over we jst need some prolonged showers to put an decent covering down thought we was in business this morning but sadly not still time for change. And parts of the North East and Kent have done well so far and looks good tomorrow for them so reckon somewhere in North East will get 15 to 20cm or there abouts altogether. I will be happy with 5cm lol

Well I'm not disappointed so far got snow cover if this is the best we get then yes might be but only weather not the end of the world. Just need an few more heavy showers.

Looks like the North East is the best place to be next few days. We have covering nothing to bad just need an few heavy snow showers to pep up.

Yeah coming down heavier now might get decent covering if keeps up will be more then happy with then predicted 5 or 10cms

well we have an covering it's an start let see what today brings. Let see if snow doesn't melt by dinner time yet ? And we can get full day of lying snow since 2013 haha that's all I want.

Well the beast from the east has being to Rome plenty of snow there and expected to to go down to -8 ?

Not relevant to here but parts of Kent are getting an covering looking at the traffic England cams on the M2.

Yes agreed rate this cold snap/spell when it's over yes it might be rubbish doesnt help how the media overhype things though but might be justisfed yet. If your expecting blizzards then u need to lower your expectation unless your on Ben Nevis. 5 to 10 cm is more then aquedate for low lying areas. Plenty of showers likely tomorrow and Wednesday and Friday looks good up to now.

Wouldn't be to concerned yet the main action was tomorrow and Wednesday anyway wasn't it? If your expecting an anything like Feb 91 will be disappointed I would be happy with 5 to 10 cms not expecting Dec 10 depths . Just an case of getting lucky and some will fare better then and others.

Some people do get knickers in an twist there was no widespread snow showers forcast today was there? just flurries which is what were getting thought main action was tomorrow and Wednesday for heavier more prolonged showers or possibly streamers.

Does anyone remember the streamer that hit the Hull area in Dec 2009 that was some of the biggest flakes ever seen lasted an couple of hours.

Eagerly awaiting this event now whatever happens at end of day it's only the weather not end of the world. Sure some places will get more then others just nice for first time since 2013 might get proper snow event and more then 24 hours of lying snow and nice to not hear the word marginal for low lying and coastal areas.
