  1. CryoraptorA303 havent noticed that myself. Various periods throughout my 60+ years have seen long wet spells and long dry spells.
  2. raz.org.rain typical April in the UK really. I found a weather website the other day showing historical summaries of April over last 120 years or so. It's really stark how varied Aprils can be, either the 30 days in any one year OR by looking at Aprils over many years. Yeah, really varied, weatherwise and it seems forever so. In reality, there's been v little change to our climate here, in the UK. Perception can be deception.
  3. I thought it was all down to a particularly powerful El Nino, this last year or so.
  4. 16c at 05.50 on 6th April. Phew, what a scorcher
  5. Grey, 12c, drizzle. March 2024, for the area, as told by our local Meto guy on local tv last night. 74% of normal March sunshine levels 124% of 'normal' rainfall Above average temps, to which my wife exclaimed "Really?!" EDIT: Drizzle quickly replaced by driving rain
  6. 12c, sunny with clouds. Pleasant enough at the mo, but threat of showers by looks of it.
  7. raz.org.rain July 2023 CET came out as average or a little above solely because of mild temps at night. Daytime temps were decidely cool.
  8. baddie "...the first few weeks of April.." it says. Hmm.....so that's the whole of April. Those comms peeps at UK Meto need a few lessons in writing English and whoever oversees these daily comms needs a few lessons, as well. Who writes this stuff 'down there'?
  9. Squall line just gone thru' here. Plus a crack or two of thunder. Relentless
  10. 7c, hammering it down....again. Feels cold. Grim.
  11. Princetown, Dartmoor webcam via www.camsecure.co.uk Showing (now) thick lying snow and still coming down.
  12. Fen Wolf some snow in far south west, being reported in south west regional thread. However, on Dartmoor, Princetown webcam showing thick snow and still coming down. Just go to google and put in Dartmoorwebcam this comes up www.camsecure.co.uk
  13. 5c...yeah, 5c!!!! Some beefy showers this morning; the air feels baltic.
  14. danm no rain here; it was just dull, with the odd break in the cloud. 12c max, but the air felt colder. Grim.
  15. All seems fine; Now, all we need is a brill late Spring and Summer, with clear blue skies and temps of 26c, and a nice breeze around the AH, to keep humidity levels down.
  16. One of the roads up to Mount Teide, Tenerife, this morning
  17. Bright and breezy; cloud with sunny spells, 11c.
  18. Doesnt look great for next 10 days plus, does it? I'm really hoping for a complete flip around mid-April, so that we have 5 months of dry, sunny and warm weather. Not much to ask for, is it?
  19. Developed into heavy thunderstorms in Fuert, since i last posted.
  20. It's the Western islands (Tenerife and Gran Canaria) that tend to cop it most, with these systems. Today in Fuert is ok so far today, the odd shower, according to one of my pals there. Mind you, about 7 years ago we had a bad storm in the early hours whilst in Fuert, woke us up at 6 in the morn. By the time we got out of bed at 9 it had cleared; a few puddles, plus loads of palm tree branches on the ground, were the only remaining evidence of the overnight storm.
  21. *Stormforce~beka* it's 7 ft high and weighs a ton. It was made from scratch 10 yr ago and is a proper job.
