  1. raz.org.rain Damn well hope not. Give me a beautifully mild, and increasingly sunny March and April.
  2. A cold rain fest - no surprise there, as the Mad ones cling on to "it usually shifts south" type b.o.l.l.o.x
  3. raz.org.rain "Old wives' tales" - plenty of those on here. As i'm still relatively sane, i take the "if it's a good month, the following Summer will be sh#te" type views with a warehouse load of salt. And i defo dont "worry" about computer generated charts for any future period.
  4. SunSean yep, really hoping for early Spring warmth in early March when i return from 2 weeks in the Caribbean. We've had so much rain locally in last 6 months, a dry and sunny period from March to October would be most welcome and, of course, very warm or hot temps a la The Med.
  5. Jono E Maybe if you actually explained who this geezer is you keep mentioning (as i cannot find him via google search), AND posted your location in your handle, then peeps would take you, and your posts, more seriously. Over to you, Jono.
  6. Freeze March 2013 was our coldest month of the 12/13 'Winter' (even though meteorologically it wasnt/isnt a Winter month). However, frustratingly IMBY, it was basically bone dry esp when the really cold weather set in during that month. Almost everywhere else saw some epic snowfalls.
  7. Will be v mild here (imby) for next 7-10 days. And in London a poss 16c on Monday.
  8. According to friends on Fuert the forecast Calima didnt really materialise today. Slight change in wind direction steered it away.
  9. @danm it isnt when a post has 20 charts in it and then someone replies quoting that long chart post
  10. There's always been stormy autumns/winters in the UK, just not year after year. I actually posted a cheeky, quick Winter 23/24 forecast in another thread on here in mid-November and main theme was that we'll have stormiest winter in years.
  11. It worries me when i read "i'm worried about those charts". Worried!! Why would anyone worry? Frustrated, yes, if you're seeing charts that are forecasting weather you dont like or disappointed, but "worried", seriously?! Could be, but early Feb at 18c, luverly.
  12. Wind speeds really ramped up in last 15 mins (imby). Yeah, some powerful sustained gusts.
  13. Lashing it down now. The storm has truly arrived in BS34.
  14. Rain has started here and a noticeable pick up in wind gusts.
  15. A predicted 60mph is the highest forecast, for here, at around 22.00 this eve (Weather&Radar). But drops back to 40mph, only a couple of hours later.
  16. At the mo it's breezy here, nothing unusual. Should get much windier by 6 this eve though.
  17. Looks like this area is in the 'sweet spot' for a spell of severe gusting winds. Bins already placed behind garage, as our side path faces south west, and it acts like a 'magnet' for gusts in these conditions.
  18. Yes, normal (weather) service will be resumed from tom morn, for here. 2 weeks or so of 'wasted' extra gas for the CH, just to see a few hard frosts. Give me a week of 13/14c so i can persuade the 'fair one' we dont need the heating on. Just 4 weeks 'til The Hot Caribbean calls.
