There does seem to be a shield south and east of Birmingham.... have seen a splattered pavement that has lasted 5 mins but just 5 miles north of me almost angle deep lol
I did say a couple of days ago that surprises will come from this set up for snow lovers and my feelings haven’t changed indeed I think a few will have some pleasant surprises tommorow
Its a spot on post, we cant keep looking at models on a day to day basis and in some cases hour to hour basis expecting them to be gospel. This cold spell will come and I have a hunch the route to it will cause a few surprises.
Whilst model watching is great fun surely you all realise anything beyond 3 days isn’t worth the output you all get excited about .... more so now with such volatility
Omg just watched the bbc news West Midlands forecast and they are still showing snow showers for tonight .... and to think we pay for this tripe they keep spurting out
with the greatest respect Matt we could pick up on the general trend …. the money pumped into the met office and there overall performance in the last 18 mnths has been poor at best.
Met office could not even get todays forecast right for our area and that was yesterdays update ….. there outputs are extremely poor at the moment unfortunately
My slant on over night and tomorrow... the attack from NW has fizzled out my still give a sugar coating in places ... the 2 other bands coming south first the one Coming down from the NE it’s starting to look like it will slide across the north midlands but might give sloppy seconds proberbly 5 miles south of Birmingham ... the interesting one is the one that has been spreading down from a due north direction if that can interact with the one from the NE it might push a bit further south and Inhance that occluded front .... however it seems to be have weakened very quickly
