  1. so once again a Beeb backtrack? I thought the track of the low was a certainty? Confused.
  2. Sorry, bit of a specific question - but anyone know when the heaviest part of the front's due to cross SE London? Have to trek off to Wembley and don't fancy getting caught later if/when the transport system grinds to a halt... Yesterday's radar had it coming across midnight/early hours... Thanks!
  3. Wind increasing, heavier snow again here in SE London... Heavier stuff still expected to cross us overnight anyone?
  4. OK, just watched Rob the Ramp's forecast - he specifically mentioned the worst hit areas - but does look like Gtr London remains in the firing line... phew
  5. In their earlier evening forecast it was due to start in the SE corner and spread across the UK into Midlands and Wales on Sunday. This not happening now then? Huge backtrack if it isn't...
  6. Downgrade for London? Barely two hours ago it was all sorted??
  7. On BBC Weather's interactive forecast, the blizzard they're warning the public about in Germany appears to move off east, rather than towards us. Is this not the system that's going to cross us on Sunday?
  8. ATM, Saturday and Sunday's snow looks to spread SE, north of the M4, then west across the midlands and into Wales. Surely looks fairly nailed on at this stage? What looks possibly even more interesting is the Channel low drifting up Weds/Thur. Not sure how far east and north it will track, but another event for some that's for sure.
  9. Not moaning at all, more an observation on what we typically miss out on...
  10. Let's hope so. As I said, unless it's a direct easterly, SE London always seems to be on just the wrong side of the various snowfests, north, south, east or west.
  11. Beeb appear to be masters of the ramp and backtrack at the moment (yesterday's low anyone?), so plenty of time for a classic downgrade yet...
  12. Sun's back out again after impressive shower... Grrrr However, compared to 87, 91 and last years dump, still disappointingly thin on the ground for us here in SE London... Obviously need a direct hit from an easterly to sort us out here.
