Take a look at the radar the band is weakening and i can't see how this will intensify enough to deliver anything of note apart from a dusting, even the ukmo mesoscale charts have a very weak area of precip coming se so where Peter C got upto 10cms from on hills around London and 2-5cms in London itself is a mystery!

I think the Home Counties have done well out of this, its been a massive surprise to me. I was expecting a dusting but got a good

7cm. I think the precip must have pivoted over us.

Been snowing very heavily in Slapton,Bucks for 3 hours cars all over the place, had to leave my van in Dunstable town centre.

Crazy amounts of snow, anyone else in Bucks or Beds getting hammerd

Still rather chilly here at -1.5 but no way near as cold as previous nights. Thawing looks set to start tommorow, its just the worst feeling when all that snow turns to horrible slush:(

i cant see any real thaw in sight to be honest, still have loads of snow in bucks and current temp -2.8 and dropping.

more snow 2morow nite and very low mins tues and weds. expect a white xmas.

The Low this morning was -7.9 in Slapton, Bucks and the Max temp we have had today is -2.9 in lovely sunshine.

im confused....the bbc and met office say hertford will get heavy snow early hours of the morning...do you think this is right??
