Also, courtesy of my agreement with lovely folks at Exeter, can share 2 key WBFL/PPN type frames for tomorrow late evening. Hopefully this helps as a steer re our forecast thinking.

Now serious doubts re scope & evolution of second main snow band later Monday based on NAE extrapolation. Story tomorrow eve into Mon am remains consistent. Atlantic push more pronounced later Monday with early lying snow across west melting; rain atop it, out as far east as around Swindon (at least) with WBFL rising above 400m readily. Watch for further developments later this eve.

#snow is in the south. Rain in immediate south, snowing on its leading edge as it collides with cold air. Wilts-Surrey
Hm maybe it might snow soon?

Hope Ian can come on and give us a update soon.
Forecast tonight will be very interesting, Expect the snow line to be 50 our so miles west our east come tomorrow nervy times.
-
Not to be taken literally of course, but here is the progress of the snow boundary Monday;
As you can see, its snow - rain - possibly back to snow again as the cold air fights back and wins.
All to play for still, I'll take that run but the pattern further west would be better.
Saying that though, good chance of all snow event for Wiltshire & Gloucestershire.
Game on!!! Hope it moves abit west.. So others can join in.. Also help my nerves lol
-
Still fancy my chances in Devizes.. I hope we get alot of snow Monday.. would be a shame for east to get it all again

Anyway take a look at the warning, Mendip,Cotswolds (i`m on edge of these)marlborough in particular but 10cm widely southern Britain, does that mean the areas i mentioned could get more when they say particuarly or just higher chance of 10cm? the areas in the zone are Trwobridge, Frome, warminster, Devices,Westbury and few others.See warning below:

Weather Watch For Ice & Snow
A period of much colder weather is expected across the UK this weekend with temperatures at or below zero for many areas.
Ice on roads will become hazardous over the next 24 hours as a band of rain pushes East into Western and Central England and Wales. Rain also across Eastern areas will freeze overnight leading to icy patches on untreated roads.
A band of Rain, sleet and snow will push into Central and Southern England during Saturday. It is likely that temperatures will be cold enough to allow for accumulations, especially across an area around the Cotswolds, Mendip and Marlborough Hills. However, all areas South of Birmingham should prepare for up to 10cm of snow during Saturday and overnight into Sunday.
I fancy my chances in Devizes..... But what site you get that from?
