Hi PersianPaladin from 4m north of Durham, in last 30 mins had minor storm in Darlington, a few inpressive strikes, jush heavy rain now, a bit pathetic really might be more interesting when/if it hits you
The Darlington storm shield played a blinder  Cloud dissipated as soon as it approached from SW, absolutely nothing, no rain, no thunder, no nowt Blue sky appearing again with high cloud, a bit grey to the south. Maybe another chance later.....
Just had telephone report of big storm in Weardale, about 25-30 miles from here. Potential storm still not reached Darlington from SW, must be very slow moving
Good afternoon! A positively milder day than of late, 14.9°C at 11-45am, sunny spells, cloud increasing with a fresh easterly breeze. Just for a change

Just started to rain in Darlington in the last hour after being dry but progressive cloud cover since around 9am has seen temps of
9am - 12.6°C 12.00pm - 9.9°C 14.25 - 7.9°C :o Please remind me it is June not March!
Really loking forward to a wet and chilly weekend. The ice creams and sun of last weekend now a distant and happy memory. This is like the Junes of 1974/5 (and 1987/97!)
