  1. Morning all, lots of lovely snow here and still snowing.

    My thought for the day:-

"If I was prime minister I would declare a National Holiday every day there was snow"

Do you really like going to your job that much that it prevents you from taking a few days off with/without pay to enjoy the snow with your kids if you have kids that is?

I'm fascinated by people who arduously dig the car out to make it into work or trudge to the nearest bus-stop and then as the case is sometimes, they are sent home because of the snow? I appreciate that certain types of employment requires a level of comittment. I do have a full-time job!

I'm not well off by no means, in fact I usually haven't got the preverbial pot to p.ss in even though I work full time, mortgage and kids but I really enjoy the inocence of snow and of course the genuine "real" fun that goes with snow unless of course your a jobsworth.

My take on it is bugger breaking your back to get to work and enjoy these times 'cause they dont come round very often and the 9-5 job all your life is a joke on us all.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it".

Now that talk makes complete sense.... :D

  3. Right, after my first disappointed look out of the window I have looked at the facts and gained a bit of perspective. :D

Looks from the Meto radar that the movement north stopped at about 5am and the northern edge of the ppn is starting to move back south. Coupled with larger areas of precip moving in from the Channel, hopefully we should have happen what was forecast, albeit slightly later.

Best things come to those that wait??!!??

Really you got no snow in Yeovil...surely not..??? But what you are saying is we got some more to come?

  4. I did say SouthWest is best tonight-

West- how much have you got- I doubt the stranded motorists have 2 Feet lying, but maybe drifted 2 feet- You couldnt accumlate that much in such a short space of time no matter how hard it fell- The best PPN rates the UK ever gets is 3 inches an hour- so that indicates 8 hours of snowfall- which we know isnt true-

Enjoy the snow folks- Just be safe-

    S

    Awe..He's so jealous..!!!
