son got very excited as we had a brief few mins of heavier snowfall after a graupel shower, all easing off now though, just a cpl of hours of heavy stuff will be fab though.

Well i for one am looking forward to the mild weather next week, beats this cold rain we have had just lately, lets hope the milder/warmer weather can give us hope that an early spring is just around the corner.

Thats good then, because it means we can lose this cold rain and have more slightly less cold rain as temps forecast to rise to 9/10c on tuesday, although not sure if any model output is showing that kind of a warm up yet.

Rain rain and more rain, flooding must be becomming a concern around here, lets get rid of this cold rain for some early spring warmth please.

so for anyone that looks at the forecast for a need to work or go out etc and they look at the bbc website or the met office site and they would not have a clue whats going to happen, here tonight for example, BBC have a weather warning for Lincs for snow and it should be snowing right now, Met office have no warning, temps rising with heavy rain due later. confused.com, lol

well i think we are close to calling this a winter a bust regarding deep cold and snowy conditions, the 10 day charts of promise at least got to within 5 days, lol, nothing but rain and cloud here for the next 5 days, chilly yes, cold certainly not. lol.

morning all, well we have our first proper cold day ahead of us in what can best be described as a chilly spell, rain forecast sun/mon/tues so temps around 5/6c after today, going through todays posts there is still hope of some wintry weather, hopefully for parts that have not seen any as yet, lets hope the last day of a horrid 2020 can give us the cold upgrades we seek and may 2021 start on the same note, i wish everyone here a better 2021.

well i guess the chilly spell is comming to the end, imby we have 2 more night of just below 0c temps then we are at 2/3c from then on, daytime temps no lower than 5c, sunday, monday and tuesday rain, bring on an early warm spring please.

well this cold spell has been a complete bust for here, rain/drizzle and chilly thats as good as it gets, maybe thursday might be cold but we are back to rain by monday, bring on the spring when we can sit in the garden hopefully with friends that we have not been allowed to see for ages.

and i will get my surfboard as here the fields are more like lakes, lol

good morning all, nice to see a certain ammount of positivity in here so far today, although i am very very unwhelmed from a imby perspective as its not forecast to get any colder than what it is currently and more rain than snow forecast, lol, here is hoping for a day of upgrades in the short and longer term, keep up the good work guys, it does make fasinating reading whatever the outcome.

Evening all, just seen bbc forecast for the week ahead and they say a chilly but dry week, does this tie in to others opinions of what the models are showing?

i see there is alot of excitement in the mod thread again this evening, i have noticed in the winters i have been lurking here is the ebb and flow of the model output and the negitive and positive output, I.E, if there is potential cold/snow showing around lunchtime output, it gains momuntum and the evening runs are fantastic, then i check the mod thread the following morning and its all doom and gloom, lunchtime the positivity starts to return, evening output even better, following morning output seems not so good, is this do do with data input or do i read to much into it, lol

good morning all, well i was hoping to read that the models had downgraded storm Bella but it looks like the models might have downgraded the cold snap by a few comments on here, but there are still plenty of positive comments to cling onto so all is not lost, still 2 months of winter and lockdown to go, Happy Boxing Day all and here is hoping for a day of cold upgrades.

hope everyone has had a fantastic Christmas day and the weather gods can give parts of the uk a winter everyone craves, i have just set up my new weather station so hopefully it will be christened with some low temps and snow to record, i doubt it but here is hoping, take care tomorrow night as storm Bella comes through then the hope for cold and snow can go from there.

Very poor forecast for here if its cold and snow you are looking for, with storm Bella incomming tomorrow night it then clears to leave things on the chilly side and cloudy but no real cold and snow.

morning all and a very happy xmas, loving the xmas cheer regarding the model output if its cold and snow you like, for imby though the forecast looks like the grinch who stole snow, lol, but whatever the weather gives us i hope everyone stays safe and enjoys their Xmas and New Year and hoping 2021 is better for us all.

glad to see more weather warnings on the bbc site for here, more rain and more wind, not sure what the hype is about regarding cold and snow, temps upto 10c on sunday, lol

morning all, well there seems to me a semi positive mood over in the mod thread, hopefully it will start showing in the forecasts soon, met office 5 day and bbc 16 day forecast for mby show nothing wintry at all.
