  1. http://209.197.11.95...479b9804714dc71 -5 way past ireland by T+129
  2. Ahhh now i see it....thats completly different to all the other models....how can it do that?? And yeh thats not so good really is it even with my limited knowledge i can see thats not what we want at all :winky:
  3. UKMO only goes out to T120?? Am i missing somthing here? Can some one post a chart of the ukmo with the worrying development on it as at the moment i have no idea what every1 is worried about?
  4. Am i right in saying that we want the uk high to start heading to greenland??? Because by T+132 thats exactly whats its doing
  5. Pub run just starting??? Still getting my head round the timings
  6. Yup same for east manc. Still it going to be rather cold...how could though??
  7. Can any1 tell me what temps to expect with -5/-10 uppers?
  8. If you live in the east then its great but for western areas?????
  9. And yet again ECM shows a belter.......if your in the east that is
  10. Of which there for us westerners there seems little of in the current modeling
  11. So basically if you live on the western side of the uk your not gonna get anything?? All this talk of easterlies being the best yadda yadda is mainly for the peeps who live on the east side of the uk and for us up in the north west are going to get pretty much zilch. I think all this hype is a bit biased to the people who live in the east....i mean theres other parts of this country apart from london east anglia etc and when people say this is goingot deliver what is really mean its going to deliver for the east.
  12. So what do you thing the chances are for the manchester are getting anything out of the current trend?
  13. So the short wave could in fact aid the westwards push of the cold air? From what i can gather its a cert for some cooler times ahead but were non the wiser on just how cold its going to get? TBH anything is better than what we have had upto now. Im just dreading that within the next day or 2 its all going to go pete tong and its all going to slide right by us like every other year before. Having said that am i right to to believe that we havent had as good a setup as we have now for a long long time?
  14. Well im just hoping that if it does come off ill get some decent snow fall in my area.
  15. Im sure i just heard the theme tune to 2001 space odesy while i was looking at those charts Even though im still learning i suspect that they mean its gonna get a wee bit chilly
  16. Ha im watching this in work and just looked at a few of the posted Charts, said holy S*%t loud enoguh for everyone to hear me. I know enough that if that were to come off were in for a good ole freeze. Luckily i work in 3rd line support for a well known BroadBand provider so can get away with it but i wonder what state the country's Telephone infrastructure would be in if FI were to happen
  17. Thanks Winter Watcher i certainly wont be looking at those charts. But from what other far more experienced people than myself have said on here, this year is looking like it could be the one to remember. I have absolutly no idea what most of you are talking about when it comes to the terminology but im loving reading the model threads. Ill pick it up as i go along but i have a feeling were in for one hell of a ride.
  18. I Always enjoy Reading GP's posts. Started back on these forums in october with the doom and gloom but it was GP's comments that always gave me hope for this comming winter. And what he has said previously has started comming to fruition with the recent model outputs. Are we really on the verge of somthing special this year?? I have no idea. Last year was a wash out for me we had maybe 1-2 days of snow that never reached more than an inch whereas other regions got the pasting of the century(if you believe the news). With my extremly limited knowledge (practically none:whistling:) Am i right to believe that its been a fair while, years, since we have this much potential for wintryness?? Or am i merely dreaming:lazy: I just want, for once, to get up one morning this winter and look outside to see 3 foot of snow lying.....mainly so i dont have to go to work and for it to last more than a day....ohhh the days when that happened:cray:
  19. Sorry to intrude but can some one tell a newbie like me what WAA is?? Thanks DWS
  20. Can you add a vote option so that the readers can either say yes thsi post was good or no this post was a crock of S*&t. Have some form of limit so that posts that get over a certain ammount of yes's then get automatically Copied to a CLOSED thread so that you can take a look in there get the gist of the models then go onto the actual discussion thread?? Does this makes sense?
  21. SO the difference from this year to other recent years is that everyhting IS in place for us to get a good cold spell?? We just need the trough to wander off westwards and for the euro high to party with the scandi high?? I know there probably alot more involved but im new to this and just trying to get my head round models etc etc. Cheers DWS
  22. Eh snow?? when this happen? Any chance of it making down to south manchester lower levels or is this a hill only event?
  23. Is it me, looking at the sat images the low is heading more northerly?? Northern edge of that low looks very close to hitting the NW region?
