  1. TEITS Morning! Day off today so a quick post! Trends are good consecutive runs from the main three models have continued the cold trends the northerly occuring, with the easterly evolving albeit differently from run to run but there.... Delay would be a good word, but I agree with you in your thinking that it WILL happen, it's just a question of how soon?
  2. Hi Chrisali! welcome to the forum! Yes, here in North Kent, light snow is falling! Hope it does settle! Probably be the last day for a while for snow - so enjoy it I would say! lol!
  3. Light Snow Here! Very disappointed though as are a lot on here about the forecast from BBC and Sky last night - still, it happens (the weather that is) and wise words about switching off radars and GETTING OUT THERE before it melts proper! Got mates coming over today and we are going sledging! lol!
  4. Snow Joke.....! Cheers to all NW Contributors thanks for making everything such good fun - Nice mix of people, some novices like myself enjoying the ride, others contributing lots of interesting points that I enjoy learning about! Off to bed soon but I will keep the blind open so that I can lampost watch lol! Take care people and hope we all wake up to LOTS OF SNOW!!!
  5. Very marginal guys! Just the odd flake being squeezed out in the wind! lol!
  6. Well, Rob Mcelwee going for it for SE overnight and throughout tomorrow with fine but continual and drifting snow and into monday for most at some time! lol! Might that mean North Kent will finally get something worthwhile? lol!
  7. VERY LITTLE snow here during the day to speak of (north kent) so hoping things improve - the wind direction must have been to blame the showers were much further south and east worst luck and maidstone has had a fabulous amount of snow....hmmm!
  8. Neil Maybe - But you got a good dumping earlier you were lucky - here it has been ok but not the deluge that I was expecting because of the veering of the wind. Still tonight could and may still deliver as Kent is still in the mind's eye's of the forecasters lol! <_<
  9. Morning Shunter I am not far from you - Yeah, think our turn soon for some serious snow action! What do you think? radar looking very good!
  10. Oh come on now - thanks We will! lol! All of us in for a pasting tomorrow tho mate!!
  11. I know what you mean - but I think the weekend will deliver big time starting tomorrow afternoon and that is something that will be more in line with what you remember - Let's hope so anyway!
  12. EH? I've just got in from the neighbours - did I miss something?
  13. Beautiful streamers - more to come by the look of the sat
  14. TEITS Sounds good another 'radar day' then? How do you think SE will do out of this if at all?
  15. Morning TEITS looking good for you guys (once again!) not ruling out the SE though for some flurries later and more especially, looking very good for SE on saturday afternoon and throughout Sunday now with a biting easterly wind....Your thoughts????
  16. Superb pics mate - cheered us all up grumpy, grump grumps!! lol!
  17. TEITS Enjoy your snow - what an easterly we have - beautiful - somewhat alarming though is the duration of this cold spell from a look at the latest model runs... showing continual snow for much of the next 10 days or so - I can only imagine what impact that will have on our infrastructure! Yes, I saw the BBC forecast that low is spinning in something special for you and later on at around 12noon for us in the SE! Could you give me a link to the best radar which shows systems coming in - I would be grateful. thanks. ENJOY!!!!
  18. TEITS Not bad at all - slowing down now with the peak of snowfall at around 4pm from where I live....Looking at the radar and the stream looks continous Where do you think the ppn from this will fall?
  19. Don't panic! There is a stream of snow showers flowing in from the North Sea on a northeasterly for us lot ! Won't be long hopefully...
  20. Hiya Steve Allow me! Lots of heavy snowfall which began at around 2pm has established itself - The flakes are thick and falling fast from the sky - looking at the radar, we are now in the 'thick of it' here in North Kent after having waited the main part of daylight hours to get there! lol! Looks like this could last since the feed from the north sea coming in on a north easterly looks set to continue for some time yet! Any idea of how long we might expect ?
  21. Report from here in Medway is -- It is quiet. Nothing. The odd flake in the wind. The radar is annoying showing the front narrowly missing Kent and yet BBC giving heavy snowfall for this afternoon...Who knows?!
  22. Agreed. VERY quiet here in north kent which has been disappointing to say the least. Hoping for some heavy snow later on. Today was supposed to be our day for the snow - Hhmmm!
  23. James, As you say that Thames streamer looks a beauty feeding in those heavy snow showers to Kent and essex areas and merging with the system to the south, this could have the potential to produce an awful lot of snow. Looks as though we had a fair dusting overnight, but I think continuous snowfall for this part of the country. Brave souls venturing out in their vehicles could face a very difficult drive home as that is when the snow looks likely to intensify.....?
