  1. Do you think North kent will still do well out of this?
  2. Jackie, as you can see from my location, I would hazzard a guess and say that by 5pm we could see some flurry activity overnight could be interesting and certainly by rush hour tomorrow a very heavy band of snow could be falling from the skies for north kent followed by heavy snow showers....that's my take on it anyway, hope this helps. !!
  3. Interestingly though, Met O do not have a warning for Kent. Would have thought we should have by now? What's happened to the warning for saturday? We are still on for that deluge as well ?
  4. Morning Neil Why rough night's sleep? My sleep has been capputt since I have had swine flu - second week (hopefully recovering slowly) !!! Not remembered much about Christmas or New Year at all!!! Anyway, hoping the front comes eastwards so that by 5pm snow is falling here! Lucky for me, I don't have to go back to work until next week now with illness, so will be able to catch some of the action as it happens (one SMALL bonus in the scheme of things!) Looking at the forecast with Carol on BBC, she seems pretty confident about our deluge for tomorrow morning onwards.....That band looked thick and I reckon could last a good few hours solid....Your thoughts?
  5. REALLY annoying Kaddie's take on BBC - I saw that - GGrrrr! I think we will get snow - we should do! It should all be monumental with all of the older and more experienced NW members commenting on shovels needed, etc....?????
  6. Absolutely! Looking good for eastern counties - I would say it is all very promising....Let's see how it shapes up over the next 24 hours!
  7. Funny you should say that! I have been looking at the precipitation type charts for GFS and it looks like plain old rain (and cold rain at that) for most in the southern part of the country.... Grimsby Snow Lover is right in thinking that the 528 dam line is indicative of whether precip falls as either rain, sleet or snow? Any thoughts anyone?
  8. Very exciting times! I will now enjoy Christmas - the blessing has got to be that loved ones can travel from A-B more safely - I am of course, interested in the charts that are unfolding for the 29th Onwards! Would certainly be more intense and prolonged if it were to manifest! Merry Christmas EITS! Snowfish
  9. Yeah, looks ok....all models showing another snowy outlook after around 28th Dec., why not?!
  10. EYE IN THE SKY What do you think the chances of Kent getting another dusting are? So far, it's just remained icy?
  11. YES... It is quite likely a mild spell just after Christmas Day, especially for the south looking at the GFS charts, after that it seems to repeat the cold pattern, so a milder interlude - I just hope that this isn't brought forward to spoil a crisp, cold Christmas Day....
  12. Well last night, kent seemed to miss it all! Not a flake here! I think that's it for snow, although I am quite happy with cold, crisp sunny weather if no snow in the offing looking at the latest gfs charts.....so, I am hoping that the cold remains though, I do not want atlantic wind and rain over thef festive period at all.
  13. EYE IN THE SKY.... Would you be kind enough to comment on whether North Kent will see further snowy outbreaks tonight? Any chance of some more snow ? - looking at the radar it looks as though any main activity will 'clip' the east coast - Giving places like whitstable a dusting? Do you think it will make a car drive to whitstable treacherous tomorrow morning? Love the pic of the doggies - fab! lol!
  14. Almost certainly will snow! From the easterly at first and later a smaller amount from the northerly. always best for a north easterly or easterly for the south east. although, saying that can be carried through on a north westerly! lol!
  15. TEITS A superb chart - would be nice to see that materialise - and tbh it has been shown on the charts for a good few runs to date... fingers crossed! :excl:
  16. Yes, coffee is required! looking good I'd say...let's hope that the next runs show all the models in agreement with each other - that would be nice!
  17. Have to agree with you there.....At least an end to the deluge of rain, with any luck.....Still time for a Christmas Wintery scene - Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed! lol!
  18. VERY EXCITING TIMES! What Charts! Let's see...!
  19. I think that it is a natural wonder.....beautiful on the satelite...let's just enjoy the moment! besides, it is delivering much needed water to the dried gardens; particularly those in the SE.....Here's to "Graceful Grace!"
  20. Great! I am hoping for a wash out here in Kent this afternoon, what do you think?
  21. Temp has gone down to 2oC dropped from 4oC two hours ago...
