Heavy sleet here with no chance of settling.
Haven't seen charts for this week but I'm hearing a NW flow so hopeful here.

Just back to Pudsey. Light snow here. Decent sized flakes too.
-
Light rain Leeds City centre.

Bedtime me thinks..
Light snow shower at present and increasingly gusty winds. Temp 0.8c. Lights keep flickering too.
Hope to wake up to a good covering but hey this is just the start of another hopefully cracking cold spell. ;-))

Just back home after busy day and evening out drinks / dinner.
Heavy graupal shower now turned in to very heavy snow. Covered up all patches.
No radar look for a few hours so let the continental brews open and we're off. ;-)

Absolute beast of a snow shower this afternoon in Harehills, Leeds which will no doubt have passed through y'all. Really was hammering on the windows ;-).

What I'd give for that extra couple of 100ft altitude, coming down heavy now and settling, but only accumulating at 1/3 of what it could be doing.
Been in Otley all day Jed and tbh it was fine snow which had difficulty covering surfaces.
Got to Yeadon different world. Dropped down to horsforth same as Otley and up here same as Yeadon.
Bloody elevation eh..!

Still some heavy precipitation around for parts of Yorkshire
I've put it up with the precip type off so you can see where the heavier bursts are
Agreed...! Just come up the Chevin past LBA and its like a white out!;-)
Looking forward to getting back to Pudsey. Two more hours of this and that's virtually 24 hours continuous snow.

Aah ty.
You've done really well, are you in East or West Sheffield?
Avatar Cheese......!

Wife says it is really heavy in Armley where she works..!
-
Keep an eye on that clump heading out of Stoke too..!
-

Now I can't get back to sleep. Aargh....

Wow I've been a member on this forum for ten years next Month bit off topic but I love nights like this!
Good shout and fully agree. Currently sat in conservatory watching it come down with ale in hand.
Bet neighbours think I'm a bit strange though...;-)

Just looked outside for first time in about an hour and wow!
Good 1-2cm cover and starting to really come down.
Can't go to bed yet..
-
Radar definitely getting interesting. That clump over us at present is drifting North with it's sweet spot going to the west of leeds. Then there's the Midlands export too.
Could be a long nite...;-))

Moderate graupal type snow so far covering in between the patches of last weekend.
Quality nowcasting event and hope / more think of a decent snow event. We'll see...
Edit: decent sized flakes now. Done with the radar and curtain twichage commenced

Aye top stuff from HC!
We're losing 1-0 and what a soft penalty! (It might not be my night after all....)
Keep the faith. LFC and radar.!
-
Yes mate should be an exciting night ahead. I've managed to stay away from the radar up until now as knew it would be a very slow event to unfold plus want to be well rested for the evening/night ahead lol. Haha I'm listening to the football, the mighty leeds who are suprisingly 1-0 up
[/quote
Leeds 1-0 up? Think your radio reception is breaking up mate with the amount of snow in the air..,,

A post I made yesterday pretty much sums things up:
''Some people think because the front is expected to be quite patchy especially as it reaches as far as it's going to get north east, that all the outbreaks are going to be patchy and light. But this isn't the case, there will be heavyier patches that could last some time two. It will be a lottery come this time tommorow wether we get in any of these heavier spots, but if we do it could be a case of looking at the radar and thinkin YE! Some nice echoes on the radar heading my way, then once under it could be slow to move, back build or anything.. : ) At that point the game would certainly be on. [/b
As always though some will inevitably miss out, dam gaps or much lighter precipitation patches.''
So I think it's still definatly a now cast event, one promising thing currently is that the precipitation is further north than expected, temperature -1C here with light snow falling, keep the faith guys : )
Well said Jed. Top now casting nite ahead with plenty of potential. Mixed with the mighty Liverpool v Chelsea and a certain S Artois couldn't be better! Well unless the Missus gets the Agent Provocateur stuff on!!
Temp -0.8c and a few light snow grains falling.

Cold out this aft in that strong wind.
Plenty of showers packing in to Ireland at present and they could make it over here perhaps just at the right time temp wise?
Could be a surprise maybe for a few?
