Ye thought it was an error in the radar at first, but the ones to the east of scotland/northumberland look at whole lot heavier!
Think at very worst these should filter down to us later, would prefer some showers just to pep up to the east of us though.
Yes that would be nice.
The NE / Northumberland coast always gets the tastiest showers.
Ok we live inland and that has its benefits sometimes as we know.! -
Yep, its frustrating wacthing the radar waiting for something to happen then 3 hours later..... Yep the showers are still just light and scattered lol.
I just hope it snows tonight so I don't have to work tommorow

Yeh same here. Didn't here anything on the conservatory roof.
The snow is extremely granular and blowing arond like confetti in the bitter wind on the patio

Plenty of snow showers this morning and a lull this afternoon until 10 minutes ago when we had a decent one.
Showers certainly lining up now and wind increasing.Love a NE / E wind as the conservatory takes a real pounding.
Looking forward to a great nite in there tonite; snow showers, gusty wind. Aren't we sad....

Heavy ish snow / graupal shower here at present.
Heavy enough to leave dusting on bins, shed roof etc. and enough to get kids in from playing out.

Been snowing last hour here now.
Moderate intensity and small flakes. Amounting to a dusting at most..

Although the snow is really heavy, do feel its a little marginal therefore I don't think its accumulating as much as it might appear, very fun too watch visually though.
To think the SE thread has 12 pages since 8PM last night and they just get a dusting and yet the NE is gettng proper snow and there is not many posts

I notice something precipitating from clouds to the east. Any reports of anything falling?
Light snow flakes blowing in the wind here W Leeds and wind picking up.
Should be enough to blow them over 't hills..

Yeah GFS and UKMO both show a trough over the weekend, it actually looks quite promising for light snow.
NAE looks rather reluctant to bring any potential snow inland, but it only goes out to 48 hours so more runs are needed.
Agreed.
May get a dusting. We'll see?
As I always say get the cold air in place and let nature take its course ( well to the missus anyway..

As I suspected, totally cloudy here, not a hint of sun, and set to stay that way for the rest of this week. Even more reasons to hate useless easterly winds.

Might get a few snow showers even here Friday nite / Saturday if the breeze picks up as expected! Trough action...?

Left Otley at 5pm and got to Pudsey at 7.35pm !!!!
There was a good 7-8cm up there at LBA as there is here. Would be surprised if all of it goes!
I love the snow but it really pi**ed me off today as it took so damn long to get home!

Still coming down here, albeit smallish flakes. Looks like the real heavy stuff is about to move in.

Pepped up again here in Otley. calmed down nicely whilst I got my sandwich.
The heavier part of the band is approaching but hope the pennines doesn't drain it!

Heavy snow now in Otley covering surfces nicely. Certainly pepped up in last half hr.

Snowing in Otley now. Small flakes but this is the leading edge.
Looking at the cumbria cams they are getting a good dumping there. My mum is reporting very heavy snow and settling well even a mile inland from the coast there.

Will be nice to see some heavy snow falling, albeit temporary. But could do with it staying as snow until morning, that way I could get a day off work
Nae says no chance though Heading to Otley tomorrow Jed. Lets hope the Chevin is wintry on the way home later.

Light snow shower here about 8.15am this morning. Surprise but nice to see.
Gonna be in Cumbria til Monday but hope to come back to snowy W Yorks...!

12z GFS and 12z ECM are upgrades for snow for us with -8 uppers over us by 1am Monday, mostly likely snow from Sunday night-Monday.
Going 'home' to the Cumbrian coast this weekend til Monday morning. Damn...
Mind you might be a 'nice' trip back over the Pennines on Monday morning..

Heavy snow in Leeds centre at 30m asl, started of as rain but quickly turned to snow.
Cant see anymore than a few hours of wet snow that doesnt lay.
Yeh shame we are in the city.
Wish I was at home watching at 185m, .........

Im in Leeds jealous of that giant shower pasting beadnell, alnwick at present.
Anyone around there confirm getting hammered?
