  1. If i remember correctly during the December cold spell we were watching the showers coming in from the east and very few made it across the pennines.

The winds turned to the north a short time later bringing us snow via Irish sea streamers on 21st dec then a narrow band of fairly intense snow moved up from the south on the evening of the 23rd.

Prior to this were we looking at similar model outputs to the ones showing on the charts now? (if this makes any sense!)

  2. Anyone got any thoughts on snow potential for the first part of this week, say from mon afternoon to weds? Granada weather say things could get wintry for the rush hour tomorrow, and gfs showing a band of snow moving down on tues afternoon and a band of snow moving up during weds, it shows the temps to be hovering between 3-5c but not sure of dew points.

  3. Was really hoping for some more tonight here in Blackpool but it seems that any snow that tries to come over to us from the East get's broken up along the way. We always share our snow with the east! closedeyes.gif

Yes im hoping for some more, keep watching the radar, we have done really well for lying snow on the coast this early in the season.

  4. Persistant snow this morning, gave a good 2 -3 inches at least. Has anyone tried to ride a pushbike in these conditions? its hard work il tell you especially with a heavy bag of mail on the front laugh.gif . Anyway hope everyone got their fair share and it looks like all eyes on the precipitation heading in from the NE.
