  12. The bottom end of that line of showers in the Irish sea seems to slowly be pivoting eastwards to me, anyone else notice this?
  13. Those showers over the Irish sea are heading NE to the north of the Fylde coast towards Cumbria, wonder if i will catch a snow shower later, we got a good dumping of snow this morning which has now frozen over.
  14. so do you think there is a trend towards warmer conditions as we head towards new year? GFS is obviously unsure, i cant make head nor tail of this lot.
  15. Had a heavy but brief shower of rain/sleet about 30 mins ago, dont know what to expect tonight now.
  16. Good evening, i too am hoping for some snow this weekend , the last decent snow to last a few days was feb 96, im not expecting anything like that during this cold spell but a couple of inches would be nice.
  17. Just seen 2 faint flashes way out at sea, starry skies here but checked radar and sure enough sferics out over Irish sea.
  18. Had a good storm here this morning about 08.00, huge flash of lightning started as a bright ball out over the sea, then just seemed to explode in all directions, very bright as the clouds were black, then huge booming thunder followed almost immediately and torrential rain and hail and strong winds, lovely. Maybe a repeat tomorrow, storm chances still looking good!
  19. Absolutley belting down here, no thunder as yet though.
  20. no thunder or lightning here in Blackpool but very very heavy rain around 5.30, havent seen anything like it as far as i can remember, hopefully those red echoes around west Wales will head up this way and not lose intensity!
  21. Estofex have issued a level 1 for most of England for tomorrow, could be an interesting day.
  22. Tuesday and Thursday not looking too bad for a bit of convective activity, especially more so for Ireland and western parts of England, Wales and Scotland!!
