  1. Well i like the current 22.54*C (+6.04C) above average so hope we can keep that up throughout July  If i had 2 guess though maybe 17.5*C July CET, 1C above average.
  2. max temp here today was 30.2*C making it JUST about the hottest day so far. I actually recorded 32.4C today but that was a seperate sensors in the shade of a bush so probably not that accurate so im going with the 30.2C as it's about the same as what heathrow has recorded today, which i am nearest. mostly sunny apart from a little fairly high level cloud.
  3. 26.0C and sunny but a touch cooler for the south side of London including heathrow, yesterday i recorded 30.1C but i was in portsmouth on sea where it was cool & cloudy, if u don't like the heat go live by the sea, really much cooler!
  4. I agree on many of these days storm risk has been either 0 or not high enough for there to actually be storms unlike the may heatwave which had intense thundery showers.
  5. It was 30C+ here today but when i went to a beach near Portsmouth only about 60 miles away i was surprised how very cool it was, there was a cloud that literally didn't move that stopped any sun heating and the sea still has a massive cooling effect in these hot times.
  6. OHW! not looking like there will be any for eastern, SE or coastal areas, have to say looking very good AGAIN for u guys in the west Midlands/ North :o We in the SE and S have to rely on France and were not getting any, im not sure why in weather terms (if anyone knows i'd like 2 know) but i;'d say France has been a greedy b**ch these last few years!
  7. Not surprised really, Birmingham and the West Midlands always seems to get by far the most storms followed by the East midlands including places such as Luton and Cambridge, why this is i don't know other than big storms with high cape form as far away from the coast as possible. Heathrow & Gatwick which im closest 2 come in much lower because it's closer distance from sea, despite recording the Hotest temperatures.
  8. The only thing that can really help is burning less fossil fuels tho, Rofl at government involvement in such issues as GW In summer i think GW is good cos u get storms but in summers it's good for storms so i have a tendacy to be much worse at burning resources in summer, then be careful in winter, obviously what i do makes no difference to anything but yeh...
  9. Im surprised that hot by the coast! I hope it's reaches the same kind of temperatures when i go down to portsmouth tomorrow
  10. Going to Portsmouth tomorrow so i typed in Portsmouth and it come up with 2000 CAPE and LI-4 & 71% storm risk, then after a few hours i realise wrong Portsmouth there's one up north Type in right portsmouth, 0 cape and cooler + CLOUDY all day, AH damn- rele had my hopes up there, mega downgrade, thought it a bit extreme conditions for portsmouth by the sea :[

  12. hhhm havent been so many Wasps this year around my area of London, oh noo!! :[ some FAT bumble bees tho, seriously i never seen such big fat bumble bees  must be the heat :]
  13. 30C does sound a touch high as i was in probably the hottest part of London and around heathrow for today and recorded 29.3C, though it would have made 30C if it wasn't for the cumulus clouds.
  14. 29.3C was todays max here, New Record for this year! here but rather a lot of cumulus cloud to the point of nearly being overcast.
  15. The temperature has shot up to 29.0C here, i thought it had stopped at 27.5C and was about to go down. I can confirm this because heathrow recently reported 29C as hottest temp in country, and my temp gauges are usually a bit lower than what heathrow reports. Hoping to break 30*C and make a 3 year record but i think todays gonna fall just short. 'tis hot tho, the temp. in my paddling pools over 30C (with the help of a kettle admittedly) Some cumulus clouds around hope they don't block out sun too much
  16. Sunny and 25.5C here, hoping to break 30C today and set a 3 year record with a lot of luck... Heathrow report says 27C and im near there so i should check my thermo is in an accurate pos. (ie. move it away from the ground which is still cooler than the air atm )
  17. 27.5C reached currently. Very dark storm clouds to my North, storms allways seem to happen to my North don't know why but anyone living 20 miles North of me is having a good time over the last few days. Would go that way but it's always too late by the time you see storm clouds and i cant drive. ROFL! cracked me up! Too bad about the lack of convection.. maybe try buying loads of patio heaters and spraying them with water, actually hhhm would have to move mother
  18. Yes you probably have produced a few, all of which have passed off to my North oh and my tracking of storms on my bicycle has never worked out Should have gone Maidenhead yesterday, anywhere NW of london = good, my dad saw some big hail and plenty of thunder for example and he was only working in notting hill.
  19. hhm big downgrade for me storm risk for most days over the heatwave gone down to 0% taking the place of many period days with 50-60% and one 80%. Still things chop & change. Today looks better than i thought it would be though after yesterdays T-Storms which were actually mostly rain for me because i was on the S edge. Still it IS hot.
  20. I am surprised by the heat, how is the sun managing to convect all that water and it to be hot?! no thunderstorms today but it will certain be producing some for somewhere else over the next few days. It's currently 25.5C in (im near heathrow area) yet the forecast max was 24C @ 1 o'clock  I think because not everyone got the thunderstorms it's still hot today, i was sort of on the edge of them.
  21. very dark clouds to the NE producing an almost continuous v. distant rumble, shame there moving away as far as i can work out though. We had some sharp rain and a couple of big rumbles, no hail though like some other people were showing -wow there were some giants!
  22. OMG pls say they'll move west to SW London at some point, thats insane!...
  23. I really hope i get those some time because i've actually never seen remotely large hail in my life!
  24. Whooo! sudden explosion (SO sudden and heavy) of rain then a mighty crack of thunder!
  25. Got some rain an very distant rumbles, main storms passed just to the north of me, wish i'd gone on that cycle to Marlow now.. last time i did that tho i went away from the storms
