So much for a dry day all over until this evening. In Dawlish (Devon) in was drizzly cold and windy most of the afternoon .

After a cold start it was a mostly sunny and pleasant day. It felt warm in the sunshine but there was a very chilly south-easterly wind. The evening remained mostly clear and felt very cold indeed, though the past few hours have seen the temperature rise again. Temperatures today were overall below average, with the minima being the lowest since June 7th.
