In hearing reports of a small tornado in Northern Ireland. Any one heard anything about this?

I had some torrential rain this afternoon with the rate topping out at 100mm/hour for several minutes. In all, about 21mm of rain fell within a couple of hours. No powercuts though.

I can confirm some very heavy rain (for once) between 6.30 and 7.20pm. A few rumbles of thunder heard.

Between 9.00pm and 9.30 or just after, there was torrential rain, very strong winds causing the rain to go horizontally, and to flashes of sheet lightning. No thunder though. Impressive! The BBC say that the tornadoes that whirled around Northern Ireland and England were unsuaul but were to become marginally more frequent.
