Last night featured frequent showers of hail, sleet and wet snow which tried to accumulate at times, but thawed away immediately- temperatures of 2C in clear intervals and 1C during showers. But after 7am, the temperature dropped to 0C, and consequently there have been accumulations of snow- 2cm and counting.

Some light snow showers fell here yesterday evening, now it's very frosty and clear. As for snow lying- very hard to call. There is evidence of frozen precipitation having fallen in parts, snowflakes and snow crystals on pavements, bins etc though never to a depth of more than a couple of mm. Some parts of Shrewsbury seem to have received more of these showers than others- up in the northern suburbs of town there was definitely not enough lying around to count, here on the western side I'm very tempted to say "yes".

a very faint dusting of snow that had fallen during the night, my aunt who live 15miles away has heaps of snow

Must have been some more light snow showers during the night which gave a very fine dusting. Temp has just nudged above freezing in clear sky with sunshine, so the last ice day here remains as far back as 1997.
