    snow grains here, temp 5C, dewpoint -1C. Also just recorded strongest gust of the year, 23.2mph NNE. Not very pleasant out there really, but better to come!

    Sleety rain showers now falling plus had a few earlier. These fell as snow as we went upto see the snow on the snake pass between sheffield and Manchester.

    Really squally wintry shower just passed through here: sort of hail and sleet, 3.3C, DP 1.3C, 25mph max. A very slight taste of the week to come perhaps...

    Late entry!!

    Very heavy snow overnight,woke up to a good inch at least,couldnt get out till after 1!

    most has melted,some still remaining!!

    Nice pics. Seems to be a quite a lot of snow up there 6-7" mabey.

    ocassional snow flakes here, although I suspect they maybe mixed with drizzly rain too.

    Temperature now 2.7C after being upto 3.2C at 20.15. Odd snowflakes now mixed in with moderate rainfall while temperature continues to fall. ;)

    A couple of light snow flurries early this afternoon. Rain by 1730 which turned to sleet by 1930. Sleet still falling but is now 75% wet snow.
