Light snow showers early this morning gave the thinnest of dustings which melted by 0930. One or two light showers of snow and graupel since then.

I can see why you put smilies after that last comment!

15-20 mins between each shower and each lasts 20-30 mins???

Had lots of lovely snow showers with some of the biggest flakes we have seen for ages, with just brief sunny intervals

so not much chance of melting :D:D:D:D:D:D

A good covering on the ground and the sky says lots more to come

Numerous snow showers today, a couple of which were quite heavy and gave a dusting (which melted quite quickly). Nice big fluffy flakes though!

Really small flakes of snow blowing around in the wind most of the day.

Just had a soft hail shower in Rushden, leaving a very light dusting which I have to admit is a surprise.

Quick edit, there's a tiny dot on the radar overhead. I think I got that.

Have a nice covering here of soft hail, got some pictures. White, very surprising and still falling. Taking some pics now, just found USB cable. Back in a sec.

I will try and post these naff pictures for the 3rd time of asking. They will hardly wet the bed, but if it does remain around freezing tomorrow morning round here it might surprise one or two folks.

Oh I can't add them with an edit. I'll try again then.

Thats some light snow on the car out the front door, if it has worked.

And here is when I was surprised to see my smoking area with a light dusting.

Most unexpected. Night all.

Explain that.

I took those pics just as the snow started falling and i'm astonished that there is 1cm of snow on all surfaces outside now. Blimey - where did that come from?

Its stopped now. A few surprised faces here if it lasts until the morning and freezes...

Perhaps the last snow report from me this winter. But hey, at least its been a surprise one.
